Failed Surgery
I came in for chronic lateral ankle pain, repaired peroneal tendon which was Ok for about 8 months then pain came back. Did a second surgery to remove scar tissue. Didn't work. Still have chronic pain and nerve issues. Regret doing all of it.

Ruined my foot and my life.
Arrogant. Doesn't explain your situation nor show you x-rays, MRI's to explain your injury. Rushes you through the appointment. At first didn't want to do surgery, so left my foot severely damaged. While at physical therapy, found out a major tendon was out of place. Doctor did surgery and left me worse off than before with extensive nerve damage. Seek a second opinion!

nerve damage
Dr Odmark performed my Achilles tendon repair surgery. During surgery my tibial nerve was damaged causing the loss of sensation to the entire bottom of my foot (except heel) and loss of my intrinsic foot muscles. My toes are painful and clawing in deformity due to muscle atrophy from the nerve injury. I have no protective sensation on the bottom of my foot and can no longer walk barefoot - even in my own house! Also, I must now use a shower chair for the rest of my life for fear of slipping on my numb foot. This surgery has wrecked my life

Efficient and professional
I saw Dr. Odmark for a fracture of the 5th metatarsal. I was able to get an appointment 2 days after calling the office for the first time. I arrived at the office (Palm Harbor) more than an hour ahead of my scheduled appointment, as my earlier commitment ended much sooner than planned. The front desk staff was friendly and kind, and was able to get me in within 20 minutes of my arrival. Kiarra, the PA saw me in advance of Dr Odmark; she was very thorough, and explained in detail the nature of my injury and expectations for recovery. Kiarra offered me as much time as needed for several questions that I had. Dr Odmark came in the room just a few minutes after Kiarra left, and reconfirmed what she told me. Although my time with him was very short, it was quite sufficient. Certainly mine is not a complicated situation, and I had done a lot of homework on my injury. Still, I came away form the visit with a strong sense of confidence in the providers and in the practice.

Why you need to see Dr. Odmark
Due to severe problems encountered as a child, I have always had issues and pain in my ankles and feet. Thanks to the fine work of Dr. Odmark , I can now walk like a normal person. Because of my deformities, I required eight separate ankle and foot surgeries. All with stellar results because of the expertise of Dr. Odmark. I am fortunate and thankful to know Dr. Odmark. His staff and physical therapists are also wonderful.

Wow - Seriously!?
I was recommended to Dr. Odmark by MULTIPLE physicians and had very high hopes for the visit (I've got a very challenging condition affecting BOTH of my feet/ankles and he was the 1st actual Orthopedist I visited). While Dr. Odmark did take more X-rays during my visit, after spending just a short time w/ me, he recommended a HUGE surgery (impacting 3 places on my legs/feet/ankles) that would take nearly a year to recover from for just 1 side. He said he thought the other side was only having problems because of the first (which absolutely is not the case). If I followed his quick decision, it would put me out 2 years total, and after visiting a 2nd Orthopedist (who raised his eyebrows in shock at Dr. Odmark's suggestions), it's doubtful any of this would have resolved my issue. Time will tell, but YIKES!

No more ankle problems thanks to Dr Odmark
I hate seeing these reviews for Dr. Odmark. There is not another doctor around who could help me where I could walk on my ankle. Dr. Odmark performed surgery about five years ago now and my ankle is amazing I would never know I had a problem. I was told if I had surgery my ankle would be worse, I am playing pickle ball, racquetball, and all sports, never feel pain whatsoever he’s the best doctor ever. Thank you thank you for healing me.

My toe has been infected and sore for months. Dr. Odmark did a X-ray and found arthritis and an infection. He was incredibly kind and yet efficient. His staff was also kind and helpful. We saw him in both the Largo office and Trinity. This last week he put a cast on the broken leg of my 6 year old granddaughter. She was so calmed by him through the whole process.

I saw Dr. Odmark for torn ligaments in my ankle and he fitted me with a boot and held off on surgery which was the correct way to proceed, although he did tell me it could take over a year to heal on its own. He was correct, ankle is still a little bit sore, but healing. Has taken as long as he predicted, but I avoided surgery which was my hope.

My work comp referred me to Dr. Odmark for my foot injury. Waiting time tended to be long. After seeing him 3 - 4 times, he finished my case even though my foot was not fixed. I went to a podiatrist (not through my work comp) several months after Dr. Odmark finished my case. My podiatrist found the issue immediately by looking at X-ray and MRI at the first meeting. Dr. Odmark had X-ray and MRI but didn't find the issue (or at least didn't tell me about it) and didn't make my foot better. I didn't pay anything because of the work comp but wasted lots of my time being a patient of Dr. Odmark.

For a chronic calf strain that I suffered for more than 10 years and saw at least five other orthopedic physicians who ordered extensive testing Dr. Odmark diagnosed me with just a very tight tendon that was contracting my calf muscle. He prescribed regular stretching rather than looking for opportunity to perform surgery, the other doctors seem to do. After all these years I am now left with no calf issues. I am very satisfied with Dr. Odmark

Dr. Odmark did a wonderful job on my ankle replacement surgery. I had little pain and hardly any swelling afterward and it is healing well. My only complaint is that just 4 months after the surgery he left the practice where I was seeing him and is no longer on my insurance plan. I was given no real recommendation of who could follow up this complicated procedure. The surgery was perfect. Customer service not so perfect.

I had a Lis Franc injury that required surgery. Dr. ODmark was the best. He placed plates, pins and some screws in my foot and said it would take a while to heal. HE has been correct about everything. HE told me I had a traumatic foot injury and it was not going to heal rapidly so just don't push myself. HE was always kind and professional.

Having been to 4 prior foot/ankle specialists, I had my reservations. He had been referred by my own primary doctor as well as a couple of friends. In reading his reviews, I almost cancelled my appointment because he was accused of not spending enough time with his patients. This man was impressive from the moment he walked into the exam room. He was not only knowledgeable, but kind and very patient in listening to and answering my plethora of questions. He is now my "go to" foot/ankle doctor.
