Dr. Thomas Schlueter, MD

Extremely horrible bedside manner. I went with my husband for his procedure. When Schlueter walked in, we did not get greeted or simply even acknowledged. He didn’t even wait for the numbing to kick in and started immediately. My husband felt everything in the beginning, including the burning from being cauterized. I asked my husband if he was in pain and he said “yes”. The dr then asked “You can feel that?” Not only was his bedside manner beyond horrible, he was extremely rude to his CMA. Very demanding and belittling. She handed him a tool in a way he didn’t like and made her hand it to him again in his correct way. Rather than asking politely, he bluntly corrected her and gave zero respect for her efforts to assist him. I will never have him provide any care for anyone in my family again.

One of the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Terrible bedside manners. Rude, condescending, zero empathy. Switched to a different provider immediately after my experience with him.

Schlueter interrupted me and my father continually. He did not listen to our questions and scoffed at what little information we did have questions about. He may-may not be a qualified doctor, but he's rude and dismissive. We get it. You're the expert. But show an elderly gentleman and his daughter some respect and dignity. I'm not letting him near my father when surgery time approaches.

He may be quick, abrupt at times but he is to the point. He's a busy guy. I've been seeing him for 9 years. I had prostate cancer, and he was there for me. Couldn't ask for a better doc.

I had been having a lot of issues and my PCP referred me. He asked about one of my issues and then ran with it. I filled out a questionnaire but he didn’t even glance at it. When asking a question he would just interrupt part way through and he would then talk. He was so rushed and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I have a serious problem and he just rushed through and set up some tests and that was it without any explanations. I certainly don’t feel that he even got a full view of my issues, left me with no advice on how to deal with my issues until after the tests and his follow up which will be several weeks. So he doesn’t listen, he just makes snap judgments and is the most brusque doctor I have ever had.

Felt rushed, didn’t seem interested in listening to me, was sharp and brusk in tone and attitude. He was very dismissive - left me feeling I was unimportant and a total waste of his time. No patient deserves that kind of response from a physician that is supposed to be trusted. It was borderline abusive. I will be firing him as one of my physicians.

I am normally not one to ever review anything; especially a doctor. However, this physician was the worst i’ve ever had. He’s not thorough at all and makes you feel like you’re just a line of numbers, just waiting for his shift to be done. He does not go into depth or explain anything, with very minimal post-op care, wether that be a follow up or a procedure itself. Truly a terrible doctor that puts minimal thought into his patients.

He may be a good surgeon. However, he is the rudest medical professional I have ever experienced. Scorned us for seeking an opinion from Mayo and basically walked out of our meeting. Very poor at understanding the patient's inexperience in his area of expertise and helping a patient to understand.

Dr. Schlueter and his staff were great! Helpful, competent and efficient. Procedure went very well. 36 hours later and no issues at all!

MD was very rude and dismissive; short; not listening and repeating questions. Raised voice, not professional at all!

Very bad bedside manner, seems like he doesn't care at all. Now I feel like I have no hope, will get a second opinion. Never going back to him.

My experiences were all very good with Dr. Shlueter and his staff.
