Dismissive
H thought my symptom description of severe pain involving the inability to walk were bizarre. He also said that although the test for peripheral neuropathy came back as "severe," he said, "just look at the numbers, it is not severe." I am not the one who wrote the report, and felt dismissed by his inability to have an answer. Honesty would have been the preferred bedside manner. I asked for another neurologist but Yale said, "we do not switch doctors for patient-physician relationship manners." My primary care doctor manages my pain and much as she is allowed.

Pleasant fellow, but not impressive. I was not overly impressed with his desire to get to the bottom of my problem. He did the smallest amount of investigation. I have an unusual medical history, and it appeared that he did not want to take the time to dig too deeply. Why many of us in Fairfield County often go into New York to teaching hospitals in search of more curious and committed MD's (which I will do).

Dr. Toothaker is one of the kindest and most intelligent doctor I have ever met I have seen several doctors for a certain condition that I have and Dr. Toothaker was the only one that gave me relief he has the kindest bedside manner which absolutely helps when you're in so much pain
