Worst ER Experience.
Imagine being 1 week postpartum while your husband is deployed and you’re really sick. You have a monster headache your arm hurts from where you had an IV place while in the hospital last week and you show up to the ER for care because your OB recommended it due to the faster turnaround time on labs and whatnot. They do blood-work and an ultra-sound and determine you have a DVT blood clot. Then the doctor gives you a prescription. Only after your sister asks “is this safe for breastfeeding moms…” to which the doctor says “I don’t know let me check.” He then comes back and goes “nope; can’t take this and breastfeed… so you have TWO options- take this and not breastfeed and give formula OR continue to breastfeed without medical intervention for the DVT and risk it traveling to your heart.” To which tears ensued because we as a nation are having a FORMULA shortage. He lacked empathy, compassion, and genuinely good patient care. 0/5 would not recommend. I would go anywhere he is NOT
