She was inappropriate, refused to be wrong over discussing a medication even though she was blatantly wrong, treated me like a child and crossed family boundaries (VERY offensive), and I haven’t noticed the medicine she gives me help whatsoever. Now I fear stopping, because she, and now my Mom, have the power to force me into doing things against my will by blaming my mental illness and history of drug abuse. She’s qualified, but even the therapist and colleague she works with had handled things wrong and made me have to get up and leave during the appointment. I feel better than I did when I first started seeing her a long time ago, but I don’t think it’s because of her. Unless you want to give loved ones a reason to control you I’d just stick to the problem and lie a little.
