Dr. Tilottoma Mukherjee, MD

Dr. Tilo is a warm, empathic provider and attentive listener. She is very knowledgeable and provides excellent feedback and wholistic recommendations. She is very organized in her approach, in a way that made me feel she covered all areas of concern every appointment. You can tell she truly cares about you and wants to provide the best possible treatment. I worked with her for several years, and if I had stayed in the area I would have kept her as a provider!

She is so great. So kind and makes me feel so cared for. Also she is so knowledgeable and has helped me through many medication changes.

Dr. Tilo was so great in helping me manage my bipolar disorder as a young adult living in Mass without my family. I highly suggest her for your care and really enjoyed the three years I worked with her.

Dr. Tilo was extremely flexible, understanding and not to mention knowledgeable. Unlike other psychiatrists I had been to over the years, Dr. Tilo actually took the time to listen and understand, which was very important to me. I saw her for about 2 years until I moved to another state. Once I moved, she even took the time to send me many different referrals. I would highly recommend Dr. Tilo!!

I've been seeing Dr. Tilo for the past two years. I'm moving to another state in a few weeks, and I'm sad that I won't be able to swing by her office in Prudential Tower anymore! I feel very grateful to have had Dr. Tilo as a therapist. She is utterly professional. Scheduling appointments and filling my prescription was always a painless process. I think the best way to characterize my experience of Dr. Tilo's therapeutic approach is through a notion of "honest positive regard." Dr. Tilo was skilled at trusting the wisdom of my own capacities, insights, and strategies (and also reminding me of that wisdom). She often created space for me to simply process my own challenges, which is exactly what I needed. However, she was also very skilled at helping me see the places where I tended to get stuck, offering her insights in a way that was neither condescending nor shaming. Three other words I would use to describe Dr. Tilo would be gentle, grounded, and supportive.

Dr. Tilo is very understanding and accommodating. It can be hard to find a psychiatrist in Boston, especially as a college student with limited time frames, but Dr. Tilo was willing to work with my schedule and even took me in at the last minute when I reached out during a very tough time. She is very generous in pointing you to additional resources to help you and helped me work through approaching difficult decisions.

Dr. Tilo was very responsive and easy to schedule with. She accepted payment via credit card, which was very convenient for me. She always made treatment a discussion rather than coldly telling me what she was prescribing/changing and then sending me on my way without describing my treatment plan. She always listened closely and provided feedback when necessary. The only reason I stopped seeing her is because I moved too far away. If able, I would return to her care.

Dr. Tilo is an excellent psychiatrist who I would recommend highly. She is kind, easy to talk to, professional, and extremely organized when it comes to payments, insurance, prescriptions, etc. She helped me a great deal with the issues that I was having and was always available if I needed her. Her office is conveniently located near downtown Boston, which was also a big plus for me.

I met with a two other psychiatrists in addition to Dr. Tilo, before deciding to choose her for treatment. Through discussions, she was able to help me land on a medication that finally reduced my symptoms of anxiety and depression, without the negative side effects I had previously experienced (prescribed by a doctor I used to see). While I saw Dr. Tilo primarily for medication management, she also taught me calming exercises and offered counselling. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Dr Tilo is amazing. She went above and beyond to help me. My life has changed dramatically for the better and I owe some of it to the incredible care she has provided. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Tilo!

I cannot recommend seeing Dr. Tilo enough. She is an excellent psychiatrist both in terms of her knowledge and her ability to understand her patients and their needs. She is communicative, compassionate, and empathetic. She seriously considered my opinions on medications. I looked forward to visiting her office each month because I felt so comfortable speaking with her about my symptoms and life in general. I can unequivocally state that Dr. Tilo is the best doctor with whom I have worked.

I'm glad the first time I ever sought professional help for my lifelong issues was with Dr. Tilo. After a quick phone call to confirm insurance coverage and that my issues were in her specialty, we scheduled our first appointment to be within a couple of weeks. Dr. Tilo was always engaged, supportive, and understanding. She accommodated more or less frequent meetings as necessary, and always wanted to hear how I felt about my medication and respected my layman's opinion.

Dr. Tilo is an excellent psychiatrist. She listens, understands and adds her genuine opinion to your issues. She is also incredibly responsive, at some point I had some serious problems and she even offered me support through phone. She helped me actually pull my life together; in which I can never thank her enough.

I have been working with Dr. Tilo for quite some time. I was going through a very difficult period with my health and my job and she was there to provide me with support. I am in a much better place now with her help. I am grateful for her patience and compassion. She also has a beautiful office that I look forward to coming to.

Dr. Tilo was fine with treating me during our first appointment, then switched my meds before seeing me a second time despite saying she wouldn’t until our next office visit. All of a sudden, she started throwing referrals at me and saying she didn’t want to see me again (I only saw her the one time). All of the referrals either aren’t taking new patients or didn’t call back. Don’t see her if you expect continuity of treatment without being passed off to someone else!

Dr. Tilo Mukherjee is very experienced and compassionate. I would highly recommend her to any new patient who is struggling and in need of a good doctor. It is very difficult to find a psychiatrist in Boston who accepts insurance. She took her time during the first appointment to get to know me. She didn't rush me. I also noticed she never double books patients. She gives me enough time. I feel better when I leave her office. Anybody who comes to see her is in capable hands.
