He was never available except for a brief visit every 3 months. I had a very difficult time getting prescriptions renewed. The last time he okayed a renewal he sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy

I was a patient of Dr. Brietholtz’s in Manchester. NH at the Elliot. He missed that I was bipolar and massively over prescribed extended release Xanax. I had a manic episode were I could not sleep for a month. I kept calling desperately for help. The only call back was from another Dr. with more Xanax. I ended up inpatient by ambulance with the police and he called back two weeks after I got out of the hospital and talked to my father. I transferred to MGH where I am happy and stable yet still stuck benzo’s. It will take years to taper them.

Br. Breitholtz treated my husband for 2 years, he was very caring about his condition, and listened to us both. He was easy to talk to and explained the medications and listened to us when we had questions.

I saw this doctor for 6-8 months, I don't believe he gave me enough time during my appointments, generally being 10-15 minutes. When I had my visit he usually appeared to be completely unaware of my current medications. I ended up being extremely over medicated, and he changed my medications so many times, it brought me to the point where I was delusional. For an extended period of time, approximately 2 months I ended up in and out of physiatric facilities. I would definitely not recommend him.

Doctor is nice but the office never calls you back. It is irresponsible that the doctor prescribes serious medications and when there is a problem with side effects, no in calls you back. I have literally called the office for days leaving messages that I need to change medications. I definitely would not recommend this office if you are looking for good care. Unprofessional, irresponsible.

Dr. Breitholtz is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen, and that's a lot. He is truly caring and absolutely knows his craft. I can't recommend him enough.
