Dr. Timothy Cordes, MD

ecause of Dr. Cordes's uneducated stance on the comorbidity of learning disabilities with trauma, a patient was not properly diagnosed, disallowing the patient’s access to resources and self-understanding. Other mental health professionals (MDs included) at GHC confirmed the diagnosis this patient wanted Cordes to seriously consider. He also adopts diagnoses, leaving worrying (i.e., disproven) diagnoses to continue into the patient's future. This happened despite factors in genetic/family history and childhood behavior history. Dr. Cordes's lack understanding in the field of his own accreditation should be flagged for potential clients, otherwise people who legitimately deserve to undo the trauma of misdiagnoses will remain confused about their wellbeing. It is tragic that Dr. Cordes's potential patients might not seek help elsewhere because their confusion has been endorsed by someone supposedly credible.
