Dr. Gard really knows he stuff. He is thorough in his exams and offers excellent care. It is very clear that he cares deeply about the welfare of his patients. His educational and professional background is impressive given his background with OHSU and also holding prestigious positions with associations within the ophthalmology world.

I went to another clinic where I thought I would be able to receive a treatment for build up 15 years after cataract surgery. The problem was there was no equipment there and I was leaving two days later on a trip. It was suggested I Hillsboro Eye Clinic. Dr Gard had an opening the next day due to a cancellation. I had another thorough eye exam and then he asked about the trip location. Hearing it was to places with easy access to medical facilities, he agreed to the procedure. He gave cautions and possible complications. He did the surgery with excellent results. He was always professional and pleasant. I am very pleased with him and the clinic.

Monitor's my glaucoma and explains the pressure and overall condition of my eyes. Explains in a way that I can understand. He has been taking care of me for many years. I take comfort in his diagnosis. I have total confidence in him and appreciate that I can trust my eye sight to him. I pray that he never retires from his practice. I would be lost without him.

Dr. Gard is a very good care provider with great communication skills. He went through my chart and made sure that any other health issues that might impact my vision are being managed and then went above and beyond to assure that my corrective lenses will provide me with good sight. I could not be happier with the care I received.

Dr Gard is very thorough. He cared for parents and he treats both my husband and myself. I recently had a scary hospitalization for a condition that could have blinded me. I lucked out that he was the doctor on-call. I was so pleased to see his face. He put my mind at ease. Doctors who take time with patients and aren't rushed are hard to come by. I appreciate him.
