Dr. Gelety has never spent more than 10 minutes at a time with me. He walks in, does his thing, and walks out. I have to ask when do I schedule my appointment, what did you see or the results, what's the plan, etc. He never once communicated to me.Then, another time on the phone he failed to check my records before calling me and we got into a disagreement about the medicine he wanted to prescribe, even though he had not expressed to me the month before that he had a problem with it and he gave it to me then. He then responded with flippant attitude 'Oh good' when asked why I was no longer seeing my previous fertility doctor. He had 'suspicions' that something might be going on but never even offered to do testing for it. Dr. Gelety doesn't care anymore. He needs to retire.

IVF
I do not feel like Dr. Gelety and his staff helped me with my ferlitiy issues or to get pregnant. The protocol he uses is not good or effective. Don't waste your time or money with them!!!!!

Do NOT recommend
After my initial visit with Dr Gelety, I left feeling confident that under his care I would fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. I went through countless cycles and endless repeated labs all of which were billed out of pocket and directly to his practice. I eventually felt frustrated and requested my records so I could transfer my care. To my surprise, my records had several incorrect diagnoses which were billed inappropriately. I ultimately left his practice and found a wonderful and compassionate fertility doctor. My experience was night and day and within months I was pregnant. Today I’m a proud mother and would advise anyone seeking fertility treatment to look elsewhere.

I wish I had known of Dr. Gelety when other doctors seemed to be experimenting on me. Dr. Gelety is the most professional endocrinologist and GYN I have ever met. He loves what he does, granting couples the opportunity to be parents. Anyone knows medical care and procedures are expensive. So why people complaining about cost. Becoming pregnant through the help an endocrinologist we should know it will cost. Dr. Gelety is tentative and explains everything he will do and while doing the procedure if you are awake. You do not leave misinformed or lacking knowledge of his findings. I trust Dr. Gelety because I know he is doing the best thing to achieve what is right and healthy for me. Anybody who pass on Dr. Gelety to help them conceive that special little one, is passing up a great possibility of becoming parents. I would recommend Dr. Gelety to anyone I know that wants to be parents

Successful IVF and now a Mom!
Dr. Gelety is an amazing doctor! I cannot say enough good things about him, his nurses and staff who are all very caring and dedicated to their patients. Dr. Gelety is truly dedicated to helping those who want to start or grow their family. I recently had a beautiful baby girl at age 41. I became pregnant through IVF. I was not an easy case. Dr. Gelety diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis after performing laparoscopic surgery. I followed Dr. Gelety’s recommendations to give me the best chance of becoming pregnant through IVF. I’m extremely glad I did because I now have a beautiful baby girl who was born in September 2022. I cannot thank Dr. Gelety enough for giving my husband and I the gift of being parents!

Definitely recommend!
I first became a patient of Dr. Gelety twenty two years ago. My husband and I were unable to conceive a child and I was recommended to Dr. Gelety by local TV anchor…whom had favorable result. Dr Gelety is so knowledgeable and very responsive to this day. When I first became a patient we followed his advice and did IVF. On my first attempt we got 12 eggs and once fertilized chose to have three transferred as I didn’t want multiples. I became pregnant at 38 with my daughter. Throughout the years while I didn’t wish to have more children I have had other concerns and every time I wanted to see Dr. Gelety he would see me within a couple of days. Unlike the ob/gyn office I have gone to for many years. Booking months out. If someone has a problem, pain or need to assess a problem, Dr. Gelety does not over react and is sensible in determining what needs to be done and if someone has a problem he takes action promptly to obtain answers and plan of care.

It was my first visit with Dr. Gelety but he was incredibly kind and professional. Many women find PAPs uncomfortable for obvious reasons but Dr. Gelety didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. He was quick and allowed me to ask questions and when I had concerns he addressed them. I will continue my female care with Dr. Gelety.

Dr. Gelety seems knowledgeable but does not allow you ANY time to ask questions. I’ve visited twice and both times was rushed in and out in 15 mins, including an exam each time. I tried to ask questions about his findings and he literally answered while walking out the door and forced me to talk in the hallway while his back was turned to me trying to hand me off to the scheduler for yet another appointment. That happened BOTH times & it felt like a privacy violation. I felt like just a number.

This office is one of a handful meant to help people become parents. If you choose REI be prepared to ask lots of questions. Timeframes and the importance of how each step is crucial but only to you! The staff provide less than clear information! We asked for a calendar to be sure we gave them meds correctly. Missed two days because doctor failed to write each day needed. You body and pocketbook go through too much for such poor instruction!

The experience with Dr. Gelety was awful. He doesn't have people's skills or touch. With him you'll be treated as a number. His staff is very unprofessional since they have lots of people they don't give you the time necessary for such an important procedure. Yes, it's more affordable but that's all. They treat well at the beginning because they want your business. Our case was special they should have done icsi right away.

Dr Gelety is "one trick pony", he uses the same protocol no matter if you are 25 or 35 years old! The protocol is lupron down regulation for a week follow by menopur beginning cycle day 3. He doesn't have customized approach towards his patients and is unfamiliar with the latest infertility treatments, aka old school doctor. He does the bare minimum, doesn't look into underlying cause for infertility such as thyroid disfunction or blood clotting disorders, which is totally rediculus! Run away!!!

Dr Gelety is an excellent, cost effective IVF technician. The final cost is competitive, but don't expect to get prices upfront w/o surprise costs. If you want a pregnancy via IVF, Dr Gelety will make it happen. The Dr sees $$$customers not people - he dehumanizes you . Too many pts=LONG waits=short, hurried Dr visits. If you want an accurate diagnosis, go elsewhere. The clinic is grimey, messy & disorganized. My medical record is the worst example of med documentation that I've ever seen.

Dr. Gelety may not have the fanciest office or a spreadsheet schedule of every single day of your treatment- but that's also why his success rates are high. He is patient focused and makes it happen. He even comes in on Saturday's!!! He goes off of your NATURAL cycle and listens to YOUR body! They don't suppress your cycle so you fit into their cookie-cutter process and schedule like other specialists I saw.
