Worst doctor I’ve ever encountered.
He made careless and inexcusable mistakes in a very simple procedure that cost me months of my life and left permanent damage. Worst doctor I’ve ever encountered regardless of specialization.

Good Doctor - Unorganized Office Staff
I saw Dr. Heilizer over the course of a few months during the summer of 2022. Dr. Heilizer himself was a nice guy and treated me well. However, the front desk staff was extremely unorganized. I had to follow up with them multiple time in order to get them to contact my insurance, causing me to wait extra weeks for treatment. What broke the camels back was scheduling me for an in office visit when the next step was an outpatient procedure. It seemed this was clear to everyone except the front desk staff. Although they apologized, it still set me back weeks in my recovery and put me through an immense amount of stress and money I could not recoup (uber trips to the office, etc). They mean well, but they are too unorganized in an industry that has higher standards.

The doctor was great, funny, and very helpful. But, my god the secretary is beyond rude. God forbid you ask for her to repeat any information of dates and times so you can ensure you have the correct information. Then when surgery is scheduled and you have so many instructions thrown at you, she gets evidently very mad if you ask her to repeat something. I get if I asked multiple times, but repeating something once should not cause that kind of reaction. Recently called regarding a voicemail she left and she just says "I didn't leave a voicemail saying that" in a frustrated tone. I literally have you on tape??? Overall, doctor was worth it. But, I wish there was a different secretary.

I visited Dr Heilizer at first, but then switched to another specialist and had a procedure done. After that I came to dr Heilizer to hear his opinion on the matter. He evidently got mad that I had a surgery with another doctor, refused to look at me and said that I go back to my new doc (which I had obviously done before and just needed a second opinion).
