Dr. Timothy Mackey, MD

Dr Mackey inspired trust from the beginning and it turned out to be en excellent choice. He is always focused, provides a complete visit and explain everything living nothing to be questioned. He is one of the few Dr who I can say I had an excellent experience. Thanks goes also to the friendly and professional staff who made this possible.

Today at 4:30 am my husband age 68, called the urology office & told the answering Service re his SEVERE pain. THEY called the covering doctor for the practice, Dr. Mackey. He said he was upset that "his whole family being woken up." My husband asked him what he should do. Dr. Mackey was rude and sarcastic to my husband. When my husband questioned why they had an answering service, Dr replied "I don't know" & HUNG UP on my husband. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL; no concern for patient's needs

Totally unprofessional. Pray you dont have an emergency during none working hours. He was upset that the answering service paged him and then had the audacity to tell my father who was in pain with a stone that it was inappropriate for him to page him and wake him and his family up (granted it was 445am). He said my father should wait until the office opened at 8am to call. My dad then said why do you have the answering service. He said he didnt know and hung up on my father. Shame on dr. Mackey

I am certain that Dr Mackey is a very skilled and knowledgable urologist, but the overall office is old, outdated, and well understaffed to manage any semblance of the process of managing a modern medical office. There are paper files and records lying virtually everywhere, the facilities are old and inefficient, the staff is lacking courtesy and professionalism (notably in trying to schedule appointments, obtain records, handle payments, etc.) and is a state of chaos. Not a confidence builder.
