Permanent disability to the knee
I was referred to Dr. Micek after having to go to urgent care instead of my regular doctor. My swollen knee wasn't aspirated as I requested, but injected with a steroid to reduce inflammation. It didn't work, and over the course of several weeks and subsequent visits to Dr. Micek, who advised I elevate, ice, rest...the knee and leg swelled even more. There was non-stop pain with only mild medication prescribed forcing me into a wheel chair and lock down in the home. After a month, I finally switched doctors and was immediately diagnosed and hospitalized with an infection to not only the knee and leg, but it had gone septic into my back and heart valve. There was no reason for such pain and trauma that I have suffered for months now. Home health care, antibiotics, PT, and now more specialist treatments are in order to just relieve the pain and difficulty walking. My active life was upended by a doctor that couldn't even see the possibility of streptococcus infection. Do your research!

Very bad recommendation. I had a complete rotator cuff tear and he was supposed to repair it. It came out the same way I went in. I was unable to lift my arm any higher than my waist prior to having the supposed surgery and was still unable to raise it afterwards. He sent me to therapy and I had the same complaints with my shoulder with no improvement and the therapists couldn't understand why it wasn't getting any better. Needless to say I went to another orthopedic who did an MRI and I needed a shoulder replacement. Now, this orthopedic surgeon did wonders and I give him (after God) all praise for assisting with helping me get my function back and rid me of my pain. I will never go to him nor recommend anyone to him.

Was recommended to see him very bad decision. Never looked at MRI wouldn’t prescribe pain medication and was sent back to work before even going to therapy. I would give a 0 star rating but 1 is as low as it would allow me to rate him
