Dr. Timothy Stoddard, MD

I have had two parotidectomy surgeries with Dr. Stoddard recently. While he has performed many other types of surgeries more frequently, he has now done quite as many parotidectomies. He didn’t see the necessity of having a drainage system hanging from the back of my neck. I still agree with him today when he said the results would be the same, and self-care during recovery can be difficult and painful with the drainage system. I must also say he is very experienced; he performed my surgeries with minimally visible scarring, especially in front of my ears. More importantly, he preserved the functionality of my facial nerves in both surgeries, likely due to his excellent surgical techniques and skills.Dr. Stoddard was also very patient with me when I panicked after the first operation and needed to see him because water was trickling from the incision site. He saw me almost immediately, changed my dressing, and remedied the situation.

A big part of being a good physician is actually seeing your patient. When one goes to the trouble of verifying with the insurance, calling the doctor’s office to verify participation in the insurance, seeing a PCP for a referral, then following up to make the appointment, it is unconscionable to THEN tell the patient that they are NOT taking new patients from THAT insurance!

Dr. Stoddard was amazingly communicative, kept me informed of what was going to happen and made sure to answer all of my questions fully. Absolutely a great experience and I was very happy with both him and his entire staff. I must confess that I was a bit rude to his front desk on my first visit (my fault entirely -- they were amazing) and they were still just amazing.

This office is VERY poorly run. The Dr. is obviously overwhelmed. Took me a month to get them to call to make an appointment. I showed up 17 minutes late (and called from my car to let them know) because of a downed tree in the road and the Dr. refused to see me even though he was running an hour behind schedule. I was 2 minutes later than their 15 minute grace period!! I drove an hour to get there and was told I needed to reschedule. What did my being late matter except that I only should have waited 43 minutes instead of an hour???? No thank-you. Obviously value yourself much more than your patients. Not interested in Dr's who don't respect my time as much as I respect theirs!

I went to 5 different doctors to find relief from my burning mouth syndrome and Dr. Stoddard was the only one to not only know what was wrong, but also was so warm and informative on all the questions I had. I felt so comfortable and relaxed with him. You can tell he really cares and is very intelligent. I would trust him for any of my ENT needs. Wish he could be my everything doctor. Would recommend him to everyone who is looking for an intelligent, patient doctor they can trust.

Dr. Stoddard was my dad's surgeon to insert a trach that is a very rare treatment in Hawai'i. From the moment we met him, he was extremely warm, calm, patient, and caring. He has gone above and beyond, by helping us during his off hours as Dad got adjusted to his new trach. He worked very closely with Dad's Pulmonologist to ensure everything was right for him, and troubleshoot when he experienced setbacks. We truly appreciate his calm, confident demeanor, which helped us to feel safe in his care.

I was able to get in to see Dr. Stoddard within the week and waited for less than 10 minutes in the waiting room to see him. Dr. Stoddard listened carefully, asked appropriate questions, and explained things clearly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with ENT issues.

I just left his office for the first time, today, for vertigo. He has a very caring and compassionate demeanor, and his medical assistant was also very attentive. The only hard thing was to secure an appointment with him - when I scheduled the appointment, it was over a month out.

Doctor Stoddard is very polite, very kind, and very good! He listens and is serious about getting to the bottom of your symptoms. He helped me so much. I am 100% fine now. I highly recommend him.
