Not looking at my records
Having many visits with Dr. Sullivan for my glaucoma and cataracts. I had brought medical records from a previous eye doctor. He never really looked into my records. He only found my eye had scar tissue after I continually complained of my problems 2 years later. He apologized for not seeing it earlier. After having surgery, I had to wait almost 4 months to see him because the office kept rescheduling me. I was put on their waiting list but never got called.

Doesn't respect patient time
I had a 3:45pm appointment. Arrived at 3:30pm as instructed. Checked in immediately and sat in the waiting room until 4:55pm. Was brought into a room and waited another 10 minutes. The doctor came in, rushed a half "sorry", rushed through my meeting and was out the door of the exam room in less than 10 minutes. Absolutely disrespectful of my time. The receptionists and the doctor's assistant all acknowledged that "that's just him!!". If he needs more time with each patient because he's a specialist, he should make longer appointment times. Don't put it on the patients. I'll find a specialist that respects patient's time next time.

After only a couple of visits to Dr. Sullivan, I have not found him to be particularly warm or friendly. After waiting over 30 minutes at my last minutes, he quickly dismissed the long wait, as "sorry I was doing laser surgery..." Technically, he sounds very intelligent, but I wish he had a better beside manner.

Dr. Sullivan is great, but his staff provides zero communications. It takes forever to get a response from his office about something as simple as a prescription refill. In the interest of efficiency they made me feel ignored, uninformed and nervous about my surgery.

For the past three years EyeSight Ophthalmology and Dr. Sullivan have provided outstanding, consistent treatment; in fact exceeding pervious care in Boston for advanced open-angle glaucoma. Dr. Sullivan is an excellent doctor, is supportive and keeps me in the loop of all treatment plans. He discusses procedures thoroughly. On two occasions he saw me after normal working hours to provide followup on a eye problem. Recently, with little notification he performed successful Xel Stent surgery. Overall, he has provided consistently, excellent care and highly recommend him.

Dr. Sullivan is intelligent, thorough and a very skilled surgeon. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes and all went well. It was painless and quick and I had no complications. Dr. Sullivan takes pride in his work and treated me with respect. I was amazed that he took the time to call me on the afternoon of both surgeries, just to make sure I was doing well. My visits have been informative and all of my questions were answered clearly. I was very pleased with Dr. Sullivan's care and would highly recommend his services.
