Sick for years because of this doctor
He has a personality issue where he ignores some medical problems, possibly because there are gaps in his training, possibly because he labels patients with chronic illness as hypochondriacs. I have a condition that can be helped by regular testing. I only found out it does after years of not getting that testing, because of Dr. Vachris. He also prescribed a medication that I’m severely allergic to, for years, ignoring my complaints about its effects. And, he actively refused to send me to a specialist who would have caught his medication error, for years. He also ignored requests for oxygen when I went to him with fairly severe covid, only referring to a specialist after years of long covid exacerbated by prescribing something I’m allergic to. He’s incompetent and dangerous. Your quality of life will be severely diminished if you trust him. Don’t do it.

Dr Vachris is an inquisitive physician who relies first on classical methods of observation, touch, and inquiry to diagnose and treat ailments. Unlike so many doctors I’ve met he is not overly enamored with “so-called” modern technology to do his job; instead he relies on a combination of clinical curiosity, scientific method, and patient care. I can not recommend highly enough.

I pitty others leaving reviews. They clearly have not experienced genuine care before. Dr. Vachris is lazy, not very smart (for a doctor), doesn't listen, condescending and downplays symptoms. He also ignores you when you question this behavior. Doctors are like government, no accountability.

I started going to Dr. Vachris when I was a freshman in college. I am now a junior and have never had a negative experience with him. He is always respectful and attentive and genuinely seems to care for me and my wellbeing, which sadly is something I think is rare in a health care professional. I never feel like I am trying to argue against him for what I feel is wrong, which is a positive thing in my book as a female seeing a male physician. I would recommend him to anyone I know as a PCP.

Dr. Vachris was patient, kind, and exactly what we needed. My husband has been dealing with fatigue, headaches, and muscle pain for several years. We asked Dr. Vachris if he'd be willing to stick with us until we found out what was wrong. He said he was up for the challenge and I went to the next appointment with my husband hopeful. He was up for the challenge alright. After five years we finally have an answer for my husband's symptoms. I am extremely thankful for him. Highly recommend.
