Manic Episode Misdiagnosis
I experienced a manic episode - barely remember what happened during that time, do remember I felt like I could “fix the political polarization we’re having”. Dr. Huynh, instead of addressing this issue, suggested I could have Borderline Personality Disorder. How? That seemed completely unrelated. This was scary: waking up in a hospital after hours of not sleeping to then be seen by a doctor who completely ignored this obvious physiological phenomenon to try to diagnose me with a personality disorder? Needless to say, I never saw him again and I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. It was so upsetting, it took me years to trust psychiatrists again.

Dr. Huynh is extremely knowledgeable, capable, and compassionate. He is the best psychiatrist that I have ever seen. He has very diligently put together a treatment program and monitored my progress with great attentiveness. I feel very lucky to be under his care and recommend him.
