Dr. Tobi Klar, MD

I do not like going to any doctors! My problem. I love going to Dr. Tobi Klar. One hardly notices the offending lesions disappear as she works her magic. She has entertained and cared for our family for thirty five years. Smart, thorough, compassionate, confident, knowledgeable, funny and just plain nice. Love her!

I had great experience with her at New Rochelle and Larchmont locations. But since she has left those locations and started working with Montefiore I was not able to get appointment with her. Every time I call they said that she doesn’t have any availability. I wonder why?

I had a great experience with Dr Klar. She treated my 4.5 yr old son after he was misdiagnosed with scabies. She took her time and was patient. Explained her diagnoses (sand flea bites) and was extremely patient and kind. She answered all of my questions. She even agrees to speak to the parents of my son's classmates whom had the original incorrect scabies diagnosis. She is extremely knowledgeable- a true expert in the field of dermatology. I would not trust anyone else but her with my child (or myself.) I am so grateful to have found her. And of course her diagnosis was completely spot on - it was sand flies causing the bites up his back not scabies.

I am 48 years old and Dr Klar is my dermatologist for over 25 years she is AMAZING!!! From acne to skin tags hyperpigmentation she has handled everything. My kids go to her my 73 year old parents go to her. She is hysterical each visit is like a comedy act we all Love love Love her. I trust her 100 percent She is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to treat patients with respect and dignity she is the best !

I can’t express in works how amazing this doctor is. Everyone in my family uses her, all 6 of us. She has dealt with everything from severe teenage acne to melanoma with us. She’s brilliant and witty keeping every appointment interesting. When one is going, others want to accompany just to spend time with her. All the friends we have sent also love her.

Dr Klar is my new favorite physician. She is thorough, intelligent, professional, personable, caring and funny. She patiently answered all my questions and provided much more thoughtful and accurate advice than any previous dermatologist I’ve consulted. A genuine pleasure.

Dr. Klar is the best!! She’s honest, caring and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her. She is also wonderful with children.

After seeing many skin doctors, Dr. Klar finally correctly diagnosed my condition correctly. Of course I still have flare ups now and then, but Dr. Klar takes her positive attitude and treats me as required, because she took the time to know my history. Her staff is remarkable both inside outside and makes the appointment process as close to my schedule as possible.
