Rotator cuff repair
I damaged both shoulders lifting weights for 25 yrs. Excellent surgeon , explained what I needed and repaired my tendon tear. I was very impressed and had the other shoulder done a year later, that was 11 yrs ago and I play golf 3 times a week. He is a straightforward person, some people are put off by that but I had no problem with him.

Dr Northrup has seen me for two different injuries. The first was due to a botch shoulder surgery. He repaired it and I healed in six weeks as promised. The second time, I saw his PA first because he had a death in the family. The PA suggested a diagnosis and sent me for an MRI. When I returned, I saw Dr. Northrup who explained that I didn't have what the PA suggested, luckily. He then explained what I did have and how to remedy it. I was very happy that it didn't require surgery; only physical therapy. I would recommend him as he is a highly competent doctor who takes time to explain diagnosis and procedures.

I have never met an individual who cares so very little about those around him whether it be his employees or his patients. If you aren’t an athlete or need a joint replacement he could not care less. He will spend minimal time with you then pass you off to his PA, who is wonderful but a little rough around the edges. Anytime I called in to speak with him or ask a question he wouldn’t even bother returning my calls. I had surgery with him a while ago and I am still in extreme pain. He says he fixes the problem but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does the bare minimum and collects his check. He is a very cold, uncaring man who seems to care more for the quantity of his care over the quality of his work

If I could give negative stars I would. Very insecure Doctor. He is easily offended when asked questions about His procedures. Hey guess what Dr. be confident do not be easily offended. Drs who are confident relish in the opportunity to teach and explain their procedures.

The entire experience was amazing. The front desk listened and let me vent. Then off to the bathroom because I was so nervous. (The bathroom was cleaner than some of the best hotels here in St. Augustine.), then finally meeting my Doctor who told me he doesn’t make decisions to operate solely from an X-Ray, he again stated, “ I treat patients not x-rays. I’ll recommend anyone who is serious about changing there life..

Dr. Northrup is excellent. The care he provides for his patients goes beyond expectancy. He explained my diagnosis and treatment and did not try to sell me a surgery I did not need! I highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care. His office is white glove clean and his staff are always friendly and welcoming!

The staff is wonderful but the Dr is very arrogant and does NOT listen to his patients. He thinks he is the best and gets angry when you tell him your in my case my knee still hurts like it did before the surgery. After that he told me its time to part ways!! Who says that? I paid him to fix my knee and he does'nt own up to it. He is very argumentative & now I need my records and cant get because he is in a law suit with the company he worked. RUN PEOPLE RUN FAST!!

Dr.Northrup performed three surgeries on my arm and shoulder following an accident. My recovery surpassed all expectations. I was fortunate to have him as the doctor treating this injury.
