Unnecessary procedures
I had several invasive biopsies done of my thyroid ,once while pregnant. After he vanished from his office without a word, I found a new Endo and was told nothing had changed from scan to scan and those procedures were unnecessary and extremely dangerous. I went through weeks of being terrified I had cancer because of this doctor. He doesn’t see patients he sees dollar signs.

Dr. Frieze ruled out a wrong diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome that I had been diagnosed by another endocrinologist! He is absolutely brilliant and very much prepared before he sees you at your appointment! Before you can get an appointment, he reviews your medical records submitted in depth but in a timely manner. Once he ruled out the Cushing's, he didn't stop there. He then tested for other conditions that could be causing my symptoms. I was near death when I saw him and he got to the root of the problem discovering that I have high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, and PCOS. I am now completely healed and back to normal! I thank God for Dr. Frieze ??

Dr, Frieze is an excellent doctor, and I highly recommend him to others. Dr. Frieze is thorough, knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, and kind. Dr. Frieze always verified his medical opinions with lab tests, and he repeated lab tests whenever necessary to most accurately interpret the results and the best course of treatment. Dr. Frieze always took his time with me and explained everything clearly. I was always highly pleased with Dr. Frieze's level of knowledge and professionalism.

I have been a patient of Dr Frieze’s for 11 years. I have yet to be handed off to a NP. He always takes time at my appts to review my test results and answer questions. My needle biopsy of the large nodules came back clear. I opted to have the thyroid removed (it was closing off my airway it was so big) and was very glad I did (via another surgeon) as two super tiny nodules were malignant. Pesky little things!

Well the concenus of the community is that he will drop you as a patient if you get a 2nd opinion or chose a surgeon with more experience than the one he refers. My family has now experienced this from this man. We received a copy of a form letter letting us know he has dropped our child. Since we went to the most skilled surgeon in the SE to have my doughters cancer removed. Obviously this is standard practice for him if he drops patients with a cancer diagnosis. His ego means more I guess.

If you are looking for an arrogant doctor with an extreme case of God complex then look no further BUT if you do not like this type of doctor than keep looking for a caring Physician.

Do not ask for a second opinion. Or he will discharge you from his practice. And in my case, I would not see him on a bet.

I was also told I have a thyroid nodule that was likely cancerous and would need to be removed. We went for a second opinion. The doctor completely disagreed with removing my thyroid. I soon received a letter from Doctor Frieze informing me that he would no longer see me and that my next appointment was canceled. His staff is incredibly rude. I have never been treated so unprofessionally. Seeing Dr. Frieze is the worst medical experience I have ever had!

after several visits and a painfull biopsy i was told my thyroid needed removal as it was cancer. I scheduled surgery but cancelled when I developed a bad cough so I postponed and decided to get a 2nd opinion while waiting. I found that I did not have cancer and surgery was not necessary. However when i requested my records to show the new doctor I was told that if i went for a 2nd opinion that he would never see me again. He was so right. Don't trust this doctor until you get another opinion!!

Horrible staff. Dr. Frieze does not even see you, he makes his nurse practitioner see you. They rush through your appointment and do not listen too you. I do not recommend going to this doctor. The you are in the wrong field. If you want a great doctor and someone to listen to you find someone else.

Prior to moving to Mississippi we attended all physician needs a the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Being accustomed to intelligent, thorough, well presented physicians it was a pleasure to be in the care of Dr. Frieze. He is very thorough and spends time with me explaining my condition. My wife is a nursing instructor and feels he would be an excellent visiting instructor.

This doctor and his staff are horrible. The only thing I recommend is to look into other doctors. He will see you in the beginning and then MAKES you see his NP who is also horrible. He is rude and dismisses you if you question him.
