Years ago Dr. Rustad did surgery on my right nostril bridge and two other locations on my face for basal cell carcinomas. He did a BRILLIANT job! Every doc I have seen since comments on his work. However- it was done at a time when we were struggling financially and we ended up having to do a charge off with his office. Fast forward to now- we are doing well and I went back to their office to be seen for chronic sinusitis. His partner found a deviated septum and septal spur. I went to Rustad for a second opinion and he wouldn't even look and he treated me like I was scum on the bottom of his shoe. This guy is a jerk with an ego problem. I am now at The Sinus Center and I have a deviated septum on BOTH sides- my breathing is obstructed because of the surgery that he did.....just saying...

At my first appointment, before I saw the DR, the nurse started telling me how horrible a tonsillectomy is, that it’s pure hell, am I sure I want this. It hadn’t been recommended yet! Dr. Rustad took 2 minutes to look in my throat, nose and ears and said I need edmy tonsils removed. He talked about the risk of bleeding, that I’d have to go to the ER and be transported by ambulance so he could stop it. That’s our entire discussion about the surgery. He spent 5 minutes with me and I was so scared about the bleeding risk that I made my husband stay home with me for 2 weeks after the surgery. He didn’t explain the surgery in any way. The nurse reviewed that it’ll be painful, that they’d make sure I had pain medicine, and pre-op instructions. She scheduled the surgery at the hospital over 2 months out and told me to schedule a follow up 2 weeks later. They had nothing 2 weeks later so I scheduled for 3.5 weeks later. This is the last time this office would contact me before the sur

Dr. Rustad is great! Very competent, super funny with a dry wit, kind, and thorough. He performed sinus surgery on me years ago, and my chronic sinus infections have improved greatly since then. He's also treated several of my family members and we all sing his praises. It's increasingly hard to get in to see him, but he's a great doctor.

I have been meaning to do this for awhile. This guy is good. I needed surgery on my nose– basil cell carcinoma. It required removal of my right nostril bridge and the construction of a new one with cartilage from my left ear. I was fearful about my nose looking bad. Honestly, I actually have to point out the fact that I even had the surgery to people. It's not recognizable and not only am I as handsome as ever, after ten years, I'm cancer free. This guy is good. And a very cool dude.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION DURING CONSULTATION...EVERYTHING BESIDES TALKING TO THE DOCTORS AT SWENT COST MONEY...received my out of pocket bill for $150 dollars. Initially went for nasal exam and informed that I have deviated septum; doctor wanted to confirm and take a look inside with Endoscopy. SWENT considers this out of the norm and surgery ($500)...ridiculous when just confirming what I already stated. How could eye doctor do a exam without their machines? 25 minute "surgery". Disappointed!!!

I broke my nose while fooling around and wrestling with my roommate. I reset it myself but it was still a bit crooked. I went to Dr. Rustad 2 weeks later and he was very down to earth and took the time to properly assess what could be done to correct it. I had a procedure done in the following days that had my nose back to normal. Dr. Rustad was very professional and honest throughout. He is very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He also didn't make me feel like a fool for busting my nose.
