Colonoscopy with Dr Matzakos. Everything was outstanding. Check-in excellent. His excellent nurse quickly arrived and worked pre-procedure - discussed things to occur, IV and etc. Room for the procedure was clean and well equipped. Dr Matzakos was studying images of my past colonoscopies when I arrived. Introduced himself, discussed my past colonoscopies, discussed procedure. Procedure was excellent. Post procedure nurse excellent. Dr Matzakos visited soon after discussing result - outstanding

It is probably accurate to say that few people either enjoy or look forward to a colonoscopy. However, when it is time for me to have such a procedure, I will do my absolute best to schedule Dr. Tom Matzakos on the "doctor end" of the "scope". He is very adept at guiding the camera to the maximum length without creating any pain while "turning the corners" of the colon. Plus, the explanation by the doctor following the procedure is thorough and easy to understand.

Dr. Matzakos is a quiet, matter of fact physician. He did my colonoscopy and hardly spoke 10 words with me. He said "hello" in the procedure room and got my info from the nurse, then I was out and later he came to the recovery room to say "no polyps, see you in 10 years". I felt like I was just another procedure to him, not a person.

I saw Dr Matzakos in May 2016. Was told I needed tests to determine problem. The first available appointment for the procedures was 7 weeks later. I got sick while waiting for the tests and was told there was nothing he could do until the tests were completed. After all the results were in, he felt there was no need to meet. Made some suggestions via email. Overall unresponsive and uncaring about my health concerns.
