Referred by my doctor. Office staff was rude as per other reviews. Doctor didn’t take any new blood work & her advice was to walk for weight loss but didn’t schedule any tests so I felt she wasn’t really interested in helping me. I could get that advice from any Dr., looking for more concern from an endocrinologist, but not this one!

Unsettling Receptionist
I was referred due to a failed 3 hour glucose. The receptionist when they called me to schedule for NOTHING but rude. Questioning me why I’m not texting my sugars already. I was just referred that morning how would I be testing my sugars on my own, let alone even know how to do that, or know what to look for? When I asked if there was a morning appointment and the response is “well we are fitting you into our schedule this is all we have so take it.” I don’t care how good of a doctor she may be but having a receptionist be incredible rude to an already emotional pregnant woman is not comforting. I told my OBGYN to never refer a client to this practice ever again.

Seemed nice and professional at first but turned out to be very rude and unhelpful. She often had her (rather obnoxious) NP deal with my blood sugars until I I asked specifically for her help because it wasn’t working for me and my BG was all over the place. She once had me turn all of my pump levels down because I was going low at night, and when I complained that it made me go high during the day, her solution was to turn them all back up again. (The same amount.) The office threatened to kick me out because I was late on uploading my insulin pump. I ended up adjusting my pump myself to stay in a healthy range which she didn’t like and sent me a message saying she wasn’t going to waste time arguing with me. She is quick to blame the patient and narrow minded.

I have been with this Dr for many years, through several medical episodes. She has always been quite knowledgeable. I came to her after being treated like crap at several other practices. Whenever I call I get a response. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. She even worked with Cleveland Clinic on my behalf ,during a difficult diagnosis. I highly recommend her!

I've been a patient of Dr.Murphy for at least 10 years. Her office is nearby so my commute is easy. I'm a type I diabetic and she put me on the pump and I'm doing well. She prescribes my medications and is easy to talk to. I don't deal that much with her staff but I do like her as my endocrinologist.

While she seems like a good medical doctor and has well knowledge on endocrine conditions, She is very inconsiderate and does not return patients phone calls on a timely manner whatsoever. It takes weeks to get in touch with her and get results back or communicate about medications when it is important. She seems to be 'too busy' to cater or be understanding towards her patients. Decent doctor, bad service and gives confusing explanations. Id say spend your time wiser somewhere else, sorry.

Would not recommend Dr. Murphy. I was told to send files over, dr would review them in a few days & to call back to make an appointment. After 2.5 wks & multiple phone calls to an extremely unfriendly receptionist, I was finally able to make an appointment. I got in within 2 wks, but more blood work needed to be ordered. Couldn't someone have pointed that out after reviewing my files prior to the appointment? 2 weeks after blood work & multiple calls, no one has gotten back to me. Frustrating!

I had been waiting for over a year to secure an appointment with an endocrynologist in Western New York. I was forwarded to the most "well-known" endocrynologist in Buffalo and I was going to have to wait over 6 months for an appointment! So I thankfully found Dr. Toni Murphy and secured an appointment. She was direct, easy to talk with, and told me of all the possibilities of my condition clearly! I am a new woman and back to my former self. I have great confidence in Dr. Murphy!

I was told I could get an appointment within the month for a new patient but they would not allow me to make it until they received all the medical records. When the office received my records they said that the only appointment they could give me was in April. Then they finally move up my appointment after going to the hospital but she wanted blood results before prescribing me on anything. It has been 3 weeks since the blood work and the office will not return my calls about a treatment plan.
