Dr. Tracy Kam, DO

I’ve had Dr Kam as my primary care for maybe 4-5 years now. She nearly incorrectly prescribed me an SSRI when I had undiagnosed bipolar (a combination that could have gone very badly). When I had other issues I felt very dismissed by her and she was not collaborative when I vocalized wanting more information about my health via lab tests. She insisted that the testing wasn’t necessary as it wouldn’t change her care guidance and had an attitude about it because (I think) she felt I was challenging her diagnosis (not true). She sent the request to the labs anyway but it left a bad taste in my mouth to see she wasn’t interested in helping me and understand the root cause of my problems. Overall I don’t think she has bad intentions nor do I think she’s absent the ability to provide care but her poor bedside manner as someone who already gets anxiety about Dr appointments was not conducive to bettering my overall health.

Every experience with Dr. Kam, and her staff have exceeded my expectations. I have had many and patient visits and Tele care visits and received numerous specialist referrals from her. I could not recommend her any higher.

Dr. Kam has been my primary care physician for 6 years. She is accessible, responsive, has a great bedside manner, and refers to specialists as appropriate. I had a concern about my heart that I communicated via email. The next day I had a response - she reviewed my records and was in contact with a cardiologist who also reviewed my records. I won't leave her until I have to.

She does not review your medical history. Very cursory exam. A waste of time and copay.

Poor knowledge base. Refers every problem out. Not sure if this person is a physician or secretary just sending me to every single specialist. I'm actually not sure what this doctor does for me. Would recommend someone else.

Dr Kam has been my primary care doctor for 4 years. She is an excellent clinician and takes time to discuss all health concerns. She has good bedside manner. Also, she’s very accessible, allows for telehealth appointments as needed, and responds quickly and thoroughly to emails/messages. I highly recommend her.

I ended up switching to another primary doctor. Dr. Kam made me feel extremely uncomfortable and lacked communication.

Poor. Does not listen to patient complaints about Kaiser, which are myriad. Poor knowledge base.

Doesn’t return calls and not very concerned about checking up on patients. Very poor pain management.
