My mother visited Dr Scudday on Monday January 30, 2023. The Doctor took X-rays and made a recommendation to inject the knee which was done. Doctor also recommended some exercises that he would provide us. No post visit report was provided nor was a diagnosis report provided. When we called back the next day, we were told that the report will be available in one week. Also was told that if we want the CD of the X-ray it would cost $30. We Called today and his rude secretary did not have the report and was very rude and told us that we should have been provided the exercises at the time of visit but we were not and then she hung up the phone. This is after we were placed on hold initially for over 10 minutes. This is unacceptable as we are entitled to receive the diagnosis report and the list of exercises that the doctor has recommended and these should have been provided immediately upon completion of the visit. My mom is 89 years old and this kind of care is unacceptable.

I had a total hip replacement in April 2021. Was referred to Dr Scudday and HOAG Ortho by a colleague who had the same surgery. He was so completely satisfied I had to follow his advice even though I live in Riverside County. Best decision ever! After years of other doctors telling me I had arthritis and nothing could be done Dr Scudday gave me hope for my future and THR was my best option to get my mobility back. My condition is so healed that I never think about my hip until someone who knows I had surgery asks me about it! Every aspect from making my first appointment through rehab was the best experience. Even the billing department was more interested in my recovery and told me billing could wait! I’ve never felt so well taken care of. Strongly recommend for anyone needing Ortho surgery. Dr Scudday and HOAG is the best!!

I was referred to Dr. Scudday by DR. Grumet. He discovered I needed a knee replacement due to my arthritis and deteriorating bone. It was the best referral I could've ever received. I was shocked by how thoroughly Dr. Scudday explained my condition, procedure, and the subsequent rehab process. I underwent surgery with the possibility of getting a total knee replacement or partial knee replacement. Thankfully, I only ended up receiving the latter. I'm forever grateful that Dr. Scudday considered my lifestyle and thoughtfully planned a course of action to address my condition. He didn't see me as just another run-of-mill knee replacement patient; he made an effort to assess my situation fully. I'm tremendously grateful to Dr. Scudday and his entire staff, which were outstandingly professional, kind, and patient. My recovery has been miraculous; one thrilled and surprised patient. It's a journey that no one wants to take.

Dr. Scudday recently replaced my left knee. I wasn’t ever concerned about the actual surgery, but more about the pain afterwards; everyone warned me that the pain would be excruciating. The surgery was performed as outpatient surgery, so I went home the same day. The epidural was still working, so I didn’t have any pain the first day, but the second day was pretty awful, worse than childbirth. When I took the pain medication and got that under control everything has been smooth sailing since. Within a week I was down to one pain pill a day. I started driving after a week, I can go up and down stairs, I can bend my knee, and get in and out of my tub/shower easily. If you need knee replacement surgery, don’t keep putting it off, call Dr. Scudday and get on his surgery schedule. Can’t say enough good things about my surgery and my surgeon!

Dr Scudday did a hip replacement for me and I feel like I never had the surgery. Recovery was fast. Besides being a very competent surgeon he takes time with you and listens to your concerns. I also had knee pain which he treated without surgery and the pain is gone. I highly recommend him for orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Scudday performed a total knee replacement December 2019 on my left knee. I am so pleased with the outcome and I just get better every day! My activity has increased dramatically, cane is gone, my leg is straight and my gait and posture have improved. I am gardening, cooking and really enjoying life! I am so happy that I had Dr. Scudday as my surgeon. What a skilled and precise orthopedic surgeon. Thank-you!

Dr Scudday performed knee replacement surgery on my 84yo Mother 8 months ago, the surgery was not easy but he did an incredible job. My mother is walking around like the new knee was always there. Not only is he a highly skilled doctor, his bedside manner is commendable to say the least. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Scudday gave me a new left knee, and I am forever grateful to him. I had no problems recovering from the surgery and can walk and do any physical activity with ease. My leg is straighter than it ever has been and the pain and limp are gone. If you are looking for a professional and caring doctor to replace your knee, you can count on Dr. Scudday to do an outstanding job. Dr. Scudday did surgery on my knee and very very pleased with the outcome. He was very compassionate and professional. I was nervous and scared before surgery.

In 2019 I had two hip replacements, both performed by Dr. Scudday. I highly recommend him both for his caring manner and his skills. An excellent physician all around.

Where do I start? Dr Scudday is awesome , first off i had a left hip replacement and prior to surgery I was laid up for 2 months not able to do anything, I am now 19 days outta surgery and I am feeling so much better and no longer on a walker or cane , I think the Dr and his whole team are great people, and really do care about there patients .
