Look elsewhere
Pain will not be adequately treated. Acute injuries are ignored. Beg for the meds they are willing to prescribe I’m sure they’d enjoy that ! Look elsewhere !

Inconsiderate
Left me in an office until I finally got up and looked out in the hallway. This was at year end and they seemed to be having festivities. When we made contact, he indicated he would not do a lumbar epidural today.

Arrogant worse person
Over a year now he's done nothing but dismiss my pain and neglect me as a patient. If you have any pride stay away from this man on every level, he is so judgmental while he talks down to you. He should look in the mirror because his attitude ruins peons lives. He will be enough to make you lose faith in any doctors that are supposed to be there for suffering patient in chronic documented pain. He's so arrogant that he knows your pain better than you and your body. You mean nothing to him or staff there you're just a patient and a paycheck so he can live his unhappy lifestyle. He doest realize how people can see right through hos arrogant attitude to us peasants.

Not happy with him, leaves you with such small amounts of meds for serious health conditions. You are also not ever gotten returns to calls when you need help. He is knowledgeable, environment is good. After I was put in his care from prior Dr my med got cut in 1/2 and dose lowered to lowest possible! Only two pills a day for break through pain for MS! I don't recommend him for this reason!

Unsatisfied – Aug 17, 2020

Had to wait over 2 hours in a freezing room. Then, when the dr finally came in, he did not listen to me or act like he even cared, and he barely saw me for 5 minutes. I do not understand why anyone would do this to a patient.....it is very upsetting, and disheartening. This dr did not do anything to help me, and the lack of experience he has really shows.

I really like Dr. Emerick, I just wish he didn't work for UPMC. I find I get better care when I received care outside of UPMC.

Dr. Emerick is the best Dr. that I have ever been to. He takes the time to answer every single question and concern that you might have. He is very educated and makes sure to educate you as well. I can not say enough amazing things about him as a Dr. He does not just prescribe you pain medication and send you on your way. He looks for alternative treatments to keep you on as little medicine as possible. He has changed my life for the better and I am so thankful. Top notch! His staff is great!!

Dr. Emerick assisted/performed the trial occipital neuralgia implant on Thursday, April 21 as well as removing. He was caring, helpful and told me everything he was doing. I actually recommended him to two family members.
