Excessive Surgery and Consequences
Operated on me in the 1990s once. Yesterday an ENT told me it looked like I'd had 5 surgeries. He cut away too much tissue out and left me with wide holes and missing turbinates. Have a CT Scan showing the massive surgical damage. I developed life long infections that require irrigations. Medical School professor told me this was not a standard of care procedure right after it was done. Horrible surgeon. I regret ever crossing paths with this hacksaw wielding doctor.

I was kept waiting for an hour past my appointment time. I’m in a wheelchair and have to schedule my travel time 2 days in advance, so this created a problem. When he came in he spent 10 min. trying to access Methodist website. I told him I had to leave and he told me that’s ok since there is nothing wrong with you. I left. The next day he called me and said he had gotten on the website and said I could benefit from either sinus surgery or adding antibiotics to my sinus irrigation routine with oral antibiotic. My insurance will not cover the antibiotic to put I sinus irrigation. I did not pursue either option.

Dr. Quinlan is a superb ent physician. I've had my share of ent visits in my lifetime. Bumped around from ent to ent. Until about 9 years ago. After switching to Dr. Quinlan, now it is smooth sailing. And he has enough faith in himself that he turned me over to his associate Louis Sully who has is very helpful and a dedicated ent practitioner in his own right. I highly recommend doctors Quinlan and Sully. RJR
