I have had Dr. V for 1 year now and I am not very pleased with her or the office. No one ever answers the phone when you call, have to leave a message and they rarely call back until you've left multiple messages. Dr V herself is nice but I do not think she hears me when I tell her stuff or actually cares how I feel. She tries to force medications on me without even knowing what is wrong. I told her no to medications she offered because they all have potentially serious side affects and my body doesn't react well to medications. She dismissed my feelings and would not order the test I asked for to see what is actually wrong. I am sorry I chose her to be my provider when changing from previous doctor.

The worst Doctor
In my view, Dr. Vorderstrasse has a God complex. She will not really listen to you and comes across as very condescending. Her decisions cannot be trusted. I feel she over dispenses medication and, on more than one occasion, put me at risk with her choice of treatments and dosages.

I recently received important medical news over the phone and was given ZERO information about what any of it meant. I then received two emails about appointments being scheduled for me (which is fine) without ever being informed (which is not fine). Still having no idea what was going on, I called the health center the appointments were scheduled at and THEY were the ones to RELAY the information to me from my doctor. To say that again, nobody from my actual primary physician’s office informed me of what was going on, and instead I had to call a health center to hear the news from someone who is not my physician.

Doc herself is amazing, IF you can get in to see her. Been over 2 years since she has actually seen me or my children. Usually end up with one of her PA's and although they are nice.. they are not as aggressive in finding out what is wrong with you. Been about a month and they still have no clue... doesn't matter to them, they are not the ones in constant pain!

I am very glad I found Dr. Vorderstrasse after years of being with my former PCP. She is great .. caring and compassionate. But, she also knows when to hold you accountable. I can be a little lax in m health care, and Dr. V doesn't let me get away with it ...much. She diagnosed an issue that I have been dealing with for years, and had no clue. Only ever had one issue with office staff, that was easily resolved. They have been great, and accommodating, as well.

We all should be so lucky as to find a doctor like this one! I almost never wait more than 4 mins at appointments. Dr. Vorderstrasse is knowledgeable and open minded, compassionate and excellent with children. I feel confidant in her abilities and she never dismisses my concerns. Simply put, a wonderful doctor! There could be an improvement in her staff/patient communication though.
