Just HORRIBLE…Run!!!
An utter lack of respect for individuals and the worst mannerisms I’ve encountered in over 40 years of receiving medical care. My vitals were extraordinarily high on two separate occasions. The first time I was told to rest at home but later ended up in the ER with a deep vein thrombosis. The second incident my BP was 156 over 106. The NP completed my appointment and made no mention of my BP. I said something about it on my way out of the exam room. The NP said it was not her job to address the BP. When I asked why she took my vitals she first shrugged her shoulders to gesture not knowing and then said as a courtesy. When I inquired about steps for discharge she became angry and canceled my prescription. As I was speaking to her she left the clinic. Later that day she emailed me a discharge letter with false allegations on it. I recorded my visit and sent an email with the video to Tristan Shockley. He didn’t reply back. A complaint form was sent to MD Physicians Board.

Reports to Health and Human Services and him
No one to answer phones, no release of information onsite, very poor nurse practitioners who are rude and unprofessional. I had the nurse practitioner refuse to dispense medicine because I requested another practitioner. Using Medicaid money and not putting that money back into practice. Their culture seems to all operate like this. It’s a shame. Called 3 times to request medical records and messages were sent to him and he ignored them. Also requested in person. Nurse practitioner threatened to cancel appointment if I did not come in early. They sent a message saying there was not enough narcotics in my urine and did not counsel at visit to try to wean off, it seems as if that’s not what they wanted.

Unbelieveable
People like this should not be allowed to enter a field where people rely on them for their health and well being. They do not care which is evident and sad.

I’ve been a patient for several years and will be seeing my 6th provider in the past 18 months. There is no continuity, you must go over the long history every time. I’m also concerned that they do not take vitals after a procedure, you just leave. This is very unsafe and I won’t get anymore procedures here because of the bad medicine I’ve seen practiced here.

I was a patient of his for two years. He is a joke! The front desk staff is rude, won't answer the phone, and acts like you are bothering them when you are there for your appointment. Which is true as they are too busy watching Netflix on their phones, or on FaceTime. There is so much office drama between his office manager, him, and "his mother". Apparently, he's sleeping with the office manager which has created drama with some patients. He has very poor patient care and knowledge. He acts nice and laid back. He doesn't seem to really care about anything, one way or another. When he gave me spinal injections he cleaned my back with betadine, and instantly gave me the injection before it could dry, and used baby wipes to disinfect and clean up. Literally saw him have the use a container that says baby wipes to wipe down the table, and surgical tray. Nothing was sterile but his gloves which grabbed non-sterile items while doing injections. This office is a joke!

The Dr. is not in often and is disinterested in hearing from patients as much as providers. No inquiry into previous records. Pass on this.

The absolute worst doctor I have ever seen in my life! Between him and the so called doctor he had just hired, I left Choice Pain and found another pain mgmt clinic. I would NOT recommend this doctor to my enemy!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shockley's for several years. His caring demeanor and honesty make me feel comfortable and confident in his ability. He is the only doctor I've been treated by who gave me an accurate and swift diagnosis. I will continue recommend Dr. Shockley to any I meet who are in pain.
