Dr. Troy Balgo, DO

He will not return phone calls and ignores certain numbers when you do call says he's going to order something and never does and then blames the patients terrible behavior

I explained my symptoms to Dr. Balgo and he addressed each one. He had a back up plan for each symptom as well in case what was decided wasn’t working. I have never had an issue with him for many years. His staff is extremely friendly.

Excellent! Ive been on pain management since 1999 which resulted in having two medical implants for the pain and going to OSU because I didn't have anyone in the area. Just as COVID started, my implants 'died' and needed to be replaced, involving major surgery. NOT happening during COVID! At the suggestion of a friend, I saw Dr Balgo and Im glad I did. He is one of the few medical professionals who really shows care and concern for their patient's well being.

Doctor balgo is the most professional doctor i have ever encountered. I have seen him for 6 years. With out doctor balgo i cant work.He has been a blessing and my life continues because he actually cares about treating pain . His work ethic is impeccable ,has not missed a day of work in 20 plus years . He runs a tight ship just as he never misses work he keeps his staff to same standards. He takes pain management seriously ,you do not do things right,or take meds right or pill count off well you better find another doctor as it Should be.Good luck though because pain management patients aare treted like there criminals because there in pain

Idk I have never met the guy before , Every time I go to my appts I only ever see the Nurse Practitioner … I was seeing Dr. Freeda Flynn for about 2 years until she was raided by the DEA in Aug. of 2019 So I thin started to go to Dr. Troy Balgo , and I was about 2 months into seeing Balgo until he also was raided by the DEA just a few days ago Sept. 23rd 2019 .. I was like wow what is really going on here … Are there any legal Legit Dr's in this Ohio Valley anymore ??!!!! SMDH

I have been a patient of Dr Troy Balgo’s for over 6 yrs. I was nurse prior to becoming disabled due to a vehicular wreck in 2008. Before seeing Dr Balgo, I also saw two other pain management doctors that I would NOT ever recommend. Dr. Balgo has always been professional. I’ve heard him lose his temper at times... BUT it’s NO different than I’ve heard from other doctors in their offices or at a hospital setting. If people understood, that it’s HIS license on the board to lose if they don’t document properly, bill properly, or patients don’t follow the agreed upon rules... that they signed off on to adhere to his rules... there will be admonishments and some things said... patient or employee.... that will disgruntle some. He is TRULY the best pain management doctor in the St Clairsville, OH/Wheeling, WV area. Just follow the rules you agreed to accept and you’ll have a wonderful doctor-patient relationship.

I have never met a more unprofessional, demeaning, and ignorant person/ doctor in my life. He screams and belittles his patients and staff. He curses and screams. You can hear him throughout his office with other patients discussing their visit. I would never recommend him to anyone. Also be aware that he is billing indirectly for his visits. Its fraud.

I go here anytime I need anything. I started even taking my daughter here because I really think they are great and care about what you are saying.
