I was only with Dr. Lau about 10 minutes. I was seeing him as a follow-up to a recent hospital stay. He went over his findings and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. Even in my brief time with him, I found him to be compassionate, understanding, and reassuring.

Dr. Lau was my Dr. In Lakeland Florida. He came highly recommended by another surgeon. He was kind, patient and explained everything about my spinal stenosis ( upper and lower). He preformed my neck ( upper) spinal fusion surgery, with expert care. That was about 5 years ago and my neck has been great since. My numbness and burning in my hand and arms has gone away and almost all of the excruciating pain. I have met others over the years that have had the same procedure by other Nerosurgen’s and their results are not very good. We where blessed to have him in Florida, and I was sad to find out he had relocated to Texas. Our loss is your gain. I will also brag about him; since he never would, he helps in other countries by teaching others and sharing his knowledge and talents. Thank you Dr Lau, ( from the patient that made you artwork). You are a truly great Doctor!

My girlfriend had a stint installed to curb an aneurysm in her head. Dr Lau performed the surgery. His staff is rude, unprofessional and go out of their way to make sure you know that they are doing you a favor by answering the phone and god forbid you ever ask them a question. It is unreal to me how people in the healthcare industry can be so insensitive and uncaring. Thing is, it’s not just one person at Dr Lau’s office, It’s pretty much every one at the office my girlfriend has spoken to or dealt with. I think most businesses, if they treated their customers this way, would be out of business. Dr Lau, from what I understand, is one of the better physicians in his field. Unfortunately, he has a staff that seems to think that gives them a pass to treat patients horribly and with rude and arrogant behavior.

If it hadn’t been for Dr. Lau repairing the discs in my neck, and finding & repairing a tear in my spinal cord, I’d be a quadriplegic today. That was in 2014, and I’m still doing very well, thanks to Dr. Lau’s great skills and knowledge. Thank you Dr. Lau.

Dr. Lau is a very skilled surgeon who operated on my back and relieved all of my pain. He is very compassionate as is his ARNP. I have never failed to get an appointment when I needed it and have even been seen without an appointment. The office staff is very competent and very courteous. I have recommended him to a relative and would feel comfortable recommending him to anyone.

Dr. was very informed and spoke to me in terms that I understood my medical situation and needs. He showed me my x-rays and MRI pictures to let me know what had happened in my stroke and gave me options to take care of it. I felt comfortable and reasurred that I was going to have the best of care. I had no fear in going into my surgery. He gave me a step by step plan and it all was as he told me. He was attentive and friendly and my family doctor said he was known for his high abilities.

His Lakeland office staff are very rude, incompetent, misinformed, and careless, they will make mistakes with your appointments and treat you as if it's your fault. They will not own up to important mistakes that may cost the patient time and money. They will speak to you in a condescending fashion to make patients feel as if their wrong when they are the ones that constantly makes the mistakes. Wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.
