Dr. Tung-Chin Hsieh, MD

Dr. Hsieh is excellent. I have been going to him for over 8 years. He has provided me with excellent advice and has successfully addressed all my medical problems. Would highly recommend Dr. Hsieh

I saw Dr. Hsieh for a varicocele, ultimately leading to a varicocelectomy for removal. He has a straightforward approach to discussing the issue and providing clear pros and cons to help with decision-making. The pace of conversation can feel a little rushed at times though, which makes it hard to think on the spot and ask additional questions.The surgery went well, as far as I can tell. I'm 4 weeks in and have been healing well with no issues. Quality of care at the hospital was pretty good. I was taken care of both pre- and post-surgery.

The appeal to reduce or eliminate my balance was denied without explanation. It was a 3 page appeal so will not fit here: In short, I was told numerous times by numerous people in Dr. Hsieh's office, that the drug company would cover "EVERYTHING" that my insurance company does not cover. The drug company covered SOME and I ended up with a $9000 bill. I appealed and was denied with NO EXPLANATION. Nicole M. was my only contact. She wrote "Unfortunately your request for a reduction or full adjustment cannot be granted. For payment arrangements, you may contact billing." Nicloe M., I need more information on your investigation. There was no misunderstanding here. A lot of people do not ask what their medical services will cost. I did. I was given a cost and ended up with a bill $9,000 more than I was lead to believe the cost was. Not much different that your mechanic telling you he'll fix your car for $1000 and giving you a bill for $10,000! Horrible wat to treat a patient!

I walked in to see Dr. Hsieh and the first thing he says to me is, “You shouldn’t be here, you’re too young to be here”, completing invalidating my concerns as a young adult with urological concerns. He didn’t take the time to address my concern. I was prescribed medication and because of the urology department and the pharmacy, I had to wait over a month to get my prescription. I had to call both the pharmacy and this office multiple times to get my medication. Lastly, Dr. Hsieh referred me to get lab work done and I was referred to a hospital lab. As a result, I had to pay my complete deductible when the office could have recommended that I find a lab that's within my network. I do not recommend Dr. Hsieh or the urology office to anyone

Dr. Hsieh provided me with excellent care in urology and men's fertility/health. Highly recommend.

After 5 months and 2 surgerys Dr, Hsieh was not able to heal me. My testicles were the size of a grapefruit , my life was miserable and I was mostly bed-sofa ridden. I finally went to Scripps and had another urologist fix my problem. Dr Hsieh assured me is was a simple surgery that he had done many times. He failed and actually was not even there when I went for my post op visit with him. I made several visits and he kept telling me to wait another month and my testicle would get back to normal. After 5 months I was worse than when I first went in .I would never return nor recommend him to anyone

Dr. Hsieh recommended and performed a TURP surgery which dealt with an enlarged prostate. Great experience with hospital staff before, during, and after the surgery, and greatly improved my ability to urinate and my quality of life.

Dr Hsieh has been my physician since spring of this year. He and his staff have always been responsive to my questions/emails/calls. I don't think I could have found a more knowledgable surgeon, or a better communicator than Dr Hsieh and his staff. He always takes time for all questions to be asked and answered. I never feel rushed or brushed aside by himself or his staff. His nurse practitioner Luiz is also well-trained with tremendous knowledge, and always makes time for any question to be addressed. His nurses are caring, communicate well, answers all questions, and I always leave his office feeling as if i was the only patient of the day. I cannot sing his praises enough, and feel so blessed to have found him at a very important time in my healthcare.

Dr Hsieh and his entire team were responsive to my needs and extremely professional on every level. From my initial contact, throughout the surgery and post surgery followup I felt my needs were met and exceeded. Every team member acted as such and have been wonderful every interaction. I am confident my care is in the best hands.

Excellent physician and skilled surgeon. Carefully and patiently addressed all of my concerns during and after treatment. Dr Hsieh seems sincerely concerned for the good health and wellbeing of his patients.

After seeing multiple urologists, Dr. Hsieh was the best doctor I have met. He correctly diagnosed my problem and offered effective treatment option. Dr Hsieh changed my quality of life so much that I feel like a new man.

I supposedly received treatment from him for Peyronies Disease. Problem is I only saw him on my initial visit then he passed me off to a Physician Assistant. for the next 3 months and he never told me, it just happened. Poor communicator and did not treat me - he passed the buck.
