He has helped me and my husband so much. He cares so much about his patients. Great listener and always has recommendations to help. I always leave there feeling that I got all the help I need. Wonderful doctor!!! I highly recommend.

Needed pain pump filled and prescriptions filled. Made appt months in advance. He spent time speaking with me did X-rays and lab. Said I would be called concerning where my prescriptions would be sent and made follow up visit. Time for prescriptions to be filled I had not heard from office so called and after 2 days was told he would not fill but would do my pump. Waste of my time and he could have told me prior to coming in as that is what appointment was for or even told at my visit .

He is by far one of the best doctors at regional brain and spine He will figure out what is going on if not he will diagnose it until he gets it right he is amazing Very wonderful doctor I would recommend him to anybody most deafly 5 Star Way better than the rest of them up there

He treated us with kindness, answered all our questions, and gave a very thorough explanation of treatment needed. His plan of care for my husband has decreased his back pain exponentially! I visited Regional Brain & Spine on 7/7/2020. My drive was an hour to my appt. There was very little wait time. I was greeted respectfully. The staff are well versed in customer service. I met with Dr Ptacek with in a few moments after being seated into the spotless exam room. Dr Ptacek greeted me and asked how i was doing. We discussed my prior treatments and the details of my health relating to the procedures applied to my condition. I explained I was doing well and the treatments were working as intended. Dr. Ptacek discussed options and alternative procedures to provide a better quality of life relating to my condition. He provided me with easy to understand procedures, outcomes and the technology used today. He has the most up to date knowledge, experience and displays the upmost respect for his patients. I was treated as an individual. People caring for people. That's what it is all about. You have a choice when it comes to healthcare. My choice is Dr Ptacek at RB&S!

I had been researching online for a Specialist that could help me with my neurogenic claudication pain (lower back, hips, thighs, calves and feet) due to bulging discs and arthritis in my lumbar spine. I researched the site for Regional Brain and Spine in Cape Girardeau Missouri . I clicked self referral on the drop down selection under "patients" submitted a request and was called by them within moments! After explaining my situation I was given a new patient appointment with Dr. Ptacek in six days! The appointment was amazing! He understood exactly what I was going through! Th office flow was fast and very efficient! Dr. Ptacek and his nurse, Jennifer were excellent! He recommended an epidural procedure. That was done 3 days later!!! They were all very professional, knowledgable and so very nice! I definitely recommend Dr. Ptacek to everyone that needs his expertise!!

I have suffered chronic migraines and chronic daily headaches for over 40 years and have tried nearly everything without positive results. I learned of Dr. Ptacek purely by luck. He is extremely personable and thorough. He explained the Ketamine Infusion process to me and I gave it a try. Finally I experienced relief!!! I am able to get a “booster” injection as needed. Dr. Ptacek gave me my life back! I have gone weeks without a migraine or the chronic daily headache pain that plagued me most all of my life. I thank God every day for letting me be in the right place at the right time to learn of Dr. Ptacek and for the wonderful care I receive from him and his staff! I was SUFFERING from pain in my right leg, back, hip and buttocks. The pain was so severe at times I cried, unable to go about my daily tasks/employment. These problems resulted from an SI-joint surgery from 2013. I had to beg for appointments. After waiting three months [in terrible pain] to see one doctor, he left his office for a 'meeting' rather than see me. I was ready to give up. Out of desperation, I tried one last time, and was told that Dr. Ptacek would see me. He has been an answer to my prayers. He is a very kind, compassionate person. He LISTENS, never seems to be in a hurry and is very knowledgeable about what he is recommending. He has given me a pain block, injections for bursitis, etc. He gave me an injection in my piriformis muscle, which completely stopped the debilitating pain I've had for six years. He is prompt, considerate and thorough. I am forever grateful. He is THE ABSOLUTE BEST in my opinion!

I have been seeing Dr. Ptacek for hip and neck pain for many months. He is so personable and always takes the time to listen to me. He has helped me tremendously and I would highly recommend him for your pain management needs.

United health care and medicare insurance. I have never had one complaint or concern about Dr P. He was always professional yet very caring. Listened to all concerns and complaints without hurry. He is a jewel and we are lucky to have him in our area. My visits have been less frequent due to a recent Ca diagnosis but resume when physical condition is up to making the trips. He is my favorite!!!!!!!!!
