He's thorough and respectful, listens, and works on solving medical problems/questions. He spends time with patients and doesn't rush them out the door. I always leave his office feeling as if he truly cares about his patients. His love of medicine is apparent. I've been seeing Dr. Hawkins for about five years now and he's never let me down.

I've been seeing Dr. Hawkins for a little over a year. I can say, without hesitation, that he is the best primary care physician I have had in many years. He listens to what my concerns are and partners with me in finding solutions. He lays out what he thinks the plan should be, gives me a few options, and then lets me make the decision. He likes to think several steps ahead so I always leave the office knowing that if "this" doesn't work, we will try "that".

Tyson Hawkins is the best primary we've had in Bellingham. The problem with his practice, however, is his support staff. They don't appear to listen carefully to requests, make mistakes, cause delays, and don't follow up. Since we only interact with Dr. Hawkins during an appointment, that means that most of our interaction is with his support staff, and that is why this rating is 3/5.

I really appreciated Dr. Hawkins taking the time to explain everything to me. I like to ask questions and be an active participant in my own health decisions. I felt like he really listened and gave me the feedback that I needed to make the right choices. He is a gem.

Discriminates against chronic pain patients. Poor listening skills, and no empathy. More worried about covering his butt than treating me.
