On December 3rd, after a catheterization procedure, I was informed I needed triple bypass surgery. Two arteries were 90% occluded and the third was 100%. Dr. Darr performed my open heart procedure on the 7th and had me home by noon on the 11th! Other than some minor chest discomfort, I experienced none of the commonly encountered post-operative issues. I can only attribute this to Dr. Darr's surgical skill coupled with the calm confidence he exuded, and inspired in me, that my positive outcome was a certainty. I could not have been in more competent hands or better care than that of Dr. Darr and his entire team. As grueling as his schedule must be, he made a point of checking on me frequently both before and after my surgery as well as keeping my family in the loop on my progress. I cannot adequately express how grateful I am to have had Dr. Darr as my surgeon.

I would highly recommend Dr.Darr, E. Taylor and his team to family, friends, and work related acquaintances. From the Pre Operation meeting through the surgery Dr.Darr and E. Taylor were professional, congenial, and remained on topic. I was confident going into surgery, the assembled team that were involved in the operation were exceptional. Operation - the short time I was aware, exceptional. Post Op Dr.Darr and staff were supportive and informative, exceptional Doctor and team.

Dr Darr replaced my bicuspid aortic valve and performed an aorta resectioning June 2018. I am simply amazed at the quality of the procedure and the rapid recovery time. Dr Darr clearly enjoys his work and is a master at his craft.

This is the best surgeon I have ever had. I had open heart surgery with a valve replacement , I had a bivalve heart. I did not suffer any incision pain and the scar is so thin its nearly invisible. He is a kind, caring, honest man with a team that is stellar. There's not enough positive words to describe him. I am thrilled with my outcome and before surgery preperation. Super A plus all around. Grateful and thankful I am.

Dr. Darr performed an aortic valve replacement. What a fabulous surgeon. And he, unlike many surgeons, has an excellent bedside manner. He really listens and takes the time to answer questions. My surgery went very well with no complications. For anyone who might need cardiothoracic surgery, I cannot imagine any doctor who could be more capable than Dr. Darr.

Dr. Darr and his staff handled my family with great compassion and patience. He performed a triple bypass heart surgery on me which was absolutely terrifying for my family. He left them feeling confident and comfortable that we had made the best choice possible.. All the hospital staff that I encountered seemed to have a great deal of respect for him. There are no words that can express the level of gratitude my children and I feel.

Dr. Darr repaired my mitral valve and performed a double bypass. He was most attentive and caring. Dr. Darr answered all of my questions both pre-op and post-op without ever rushing to get out of the room. His willingness to explain the procedures in detail and discuss all of my options helped me feel that he was indeed the surgeon who should care for me at a very trying time in my life. I am most grateful to him and his staff for the wonderful care and and attentiveness I received at his hand.

Dr Darr make a special effort to see me on a normally surgery only day, and even though the initial consult was delayed, he was apologetic, concerned, patient, and he listened. He was very courteous. Nurse Taylor and his other staff were very courteous as well. They were concerned about the delays and how I woud react..I told them I was here to do what was needed, instead of coming back, and they made it happen, and got other surgery prerequisites completed, like bloodwork in the extra time.
