Superb Care
Dr. Modhia has been thorough and honest about what he can do for me in correcting my spine problems. He performed neck surgery and I feel I received the best possible care available. Dr. Modhia and his staff were kind, professional and highly competent. I am a retired nurse of 45 years and would highly recommend Dr. Modhia.

Injured me just as I was healing!
I visited to learn more about how my scoliosis is impacting my SI joint. I have been experiencing hip pain. It's taken 5 months to get the correct diagnosis and treatment: an injection into the SI joint to reduce inflammation. The steroids can take 2 weeks to be effective. I had just beyond reaping the benefits of the injection when I visited Dr. Modhia on day 10, post-injection. Because my pain was responding to the injection, I was NOT a candidate for surgery. But as part of the consultation, Dr. Modhia decided to stress my healing SI joint -- with predictable results. I have been in constant pain for the following 54 hours. Ice / heat / rest / physical therapy with massage, electric stimulation, dry needles -- nothing helps. He effectively ERASED all positive benefits of the SI joint injection by re-injuring me -- and guess what?!?!?!? NOW I AM A SURGICAL CANDIDATE. No worries! I won't be trusting him with my care again.

Almost impossible to give higher praise to Dr Modhia than to say that his 'everything' is better than almost anything I have experienced in 12 surgeries over 52 years on three continents. From his very pleasant bedside manner, to his thorough knowledge and obvious care-for, and can-do attitude. I am barely out of the fog of anesthesia and wanted to say thanks again, I am so glad I got Urvij for my Discectomy etc. All the staff at UNMH were a tremendous asset. Well done all!

Dr. Modhia performed emergency surgery on my mother and we are beyond grateful for his kindness, compassion and skill. There is no doubt in my mind that he saved her life. He is extremely competent and took the time to explain everything to us and discuss all options and possible outcomes. After 2 surgeries performed by Dr. Modhia (her case was so complicated it couldn’t be done in 1 operation) my mom is doing better than expected and we are so grateful for him and his team.
