Do not go to her for weight management
She made me feel like I was a lost cause on my weight loss journey since I was not losing much weight. I was told the same thing every time I saw her I need to exercise more which I have, intermediate fast and eat fiber all that I am doing but I wasn’t losing much weight. After the second appointment she made me feel as if I do not matter. She does not give much advice no plan of actions just the same 3 suggestions above during every appointment. I also always felt rushed during our appointments that would only last 5 to 10 mins. If your looking for a weight management doctor do not go see her. I stopped going to her for weight loss help.

Nothing Medical Matters if You're Fat
Don't schedule an appointment with her if you're overweight. She'll only give you advice based on the number on the scale. She didn't even ask me about my diet and exercise before telling me that I just need to eat 30g of fiber (I already do), cut back on red meat (I'm pescatarian), exercise for 200 mins a week (I already do), and that I should intermittently fast (I have a history of disordered eating). She didn't even look at my primary complaint.

Long wait times
I made every effort to be on time for my appointment which i came from another state. Got there, waited to get checked in and was eventually places in an examination room where I proceeded to wait for an hour while I can hear the doctor speaking to another patient through the paper-thin walls. Be prepared for long wait times.

Dr. Kodiyalam is an excellent PCP. She listens very carefully to me and prescribes appropriate actions when needed. She is very easy to talk to and she is very thorough with her approach to getting and keeping her patients healthy. My daughter is also her patient and we both love her and can't imagine having any other PCP.

Dr. K is a good doctor but the wait time is insane. The first visit that i scheduled with Dr.K was prompt but the following visits I waited over an hour for something that only took 5 minutes. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you are always waiting 1hr to actually see the doctor for something as minor as filling out paperwork. I love her office and staff but I am now going to start looking for a doctor that doesnt have me waiting 1 hr every visit.

When I had my first appointment with Dr. K she was great. She took her time, listened and explained everything. Unfortunately, my last three visits have been completely the opposite. Dr. K seems rushed almost as if she is under pressure to meet a quota. I waited for a total of four hours over three visits and she spent about 10 minutes total with me for all three visits combined. Time to find another doctor. :(
