Dr. Valerie Wells, MD

If I could give less starts I would. I went to get my annual women's wellness appointment with Dr. Wells. She first took me into her office and discussed my medical history. While I was telling her my medical history I explained how I was having issues with my tummy. She sent me a referral. 4 Months later I get a text from her office saying I have a bill for $100. That was for the Gastro consultation. Women's wellness is typically covered under insurance so being charged $100 dollars because she told me to go to another doctor is insane.

Please do not go to this doctor for anything other than a pap smear or annual exam. She performed surgery on me and ruined my life. I sustained a rectal and bladder prolapse from a partial hysterectomy. My small bowel was also fused to my pelvic wall and I have suffered from pelvic floor dysfunction and large ovarian cysts ever since. I also began having significant menopausal symptoms. When I brought this to her attention she prescribed birth control and said to see a GI doctor. Also, she never warned me about pelvic floor dysfunction nor volunteered this information post surgery despite my many complaints regarding bowel issues. I have also sustained nerve damage that impact my bowel movements every day. Be warned, I went to her with fibroids and there were other options to treat them besides a hysterectomy.

I don’t ever feel rushed with Dr Wells. She listens and responds to her emails in a timely manner. I highly recommend her.

I've been seeing Dr. Wells for several years and she is the best of the best. Very thorough and truly cares about her patients. My 1 star review is for the rude receptionist with a terrible attitude. What a sad, pathetic human being. She needs to be fired ASAP.
