I have known Dr Alm for over 20 yrs. I was in Pharma Industry and he is one of the best, most caring and thorough Physicians I have ever known. I have been with doctor Alm going 15-plus years and he isn't just a great doctor but also a good man. There have been quite a few conditions and ailments he has helped me with. He has always taken the time to listen to me as a patient and person. Thank you Dr. Alm

Totally noncommunicative
Dr Alm is a nice guy IF and WHEN I can get in front of him. Aside from that, communication, follow through, responsiveness, etc. is all worse than dealing with the DMV or the IRS. In the past year, I had to drive down to his office in person to speak to anyone. For the first few months I was told there were some personal issues in the doc's life and some back office issues that were causing the total lack of communication. When the supposed issues were supposedly resolved, I was assured by Amy and the doc that communication would improve. The next time I saw them was after a terrible low back injury that was keeping me from work and totally immobilized me. For days I couldn't get anyone on the phone nor was I getting responses from emails or texts. Amy even gave me her cell phone to try to fix the issue but I wasn't getting responses there either. Without hyperbole, I've never experienced such terrible communication in any interaction in my life.

They don’t fill insulin prescriptions
Went 3 months without insulin because the staff was so incapable. Do yourself a favor and stay away. They should be shut down.

This has to be one of the worst doctors offices I have EVER dealt with. They don’t respond to pharmacy requests and you can never get ahold of an actual human being to talk to. They are so terrified of this virus it makes me Laugh. Find another doctor people.

I have been seeing Dr. Alm for 6 years. He is an excellent listener, and cares greatly about his patients health and well being. I recommend Dr. Alm to anyone living in the Reno area.
