Dr. Vanita Yakhmi, MD

After a horrific pandemic I did not attend in office visits since 2019 (3 years) which the large majority of Americans did not go into the office because of the pandemic. After becoming very ill I attempted to make an appointment and was told because I didn’t come in 3 years I was removed as a patient without my knowledge and she WOULD NOT take me back as she isn’t taking any new patients (what a shocker). As a result I will now have to find a new provider which will take at minimum 6 months. I guess I will live with the pain until then. Thanks doc!

I would recommend Dr. Yakhmi. She is a good listener and very thorough. I consider her a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable physician.

I was insulted by how Dr. Yakhmi treated me. When I went to see her because I was having dizzy spells. She quickly examined me and said "You're not dizzy." When I tried to explain that since I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome... She said, "You don't have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome." The only problem is that I do and my Rheumatologist in the same network agrees it is in my file and this is not the first time she has said this!

Changes medications without consulting patient or letting them know ahead of time.
