You messed up, and I live with it every day.
I have to live the rest of my life performing a physical job with a mangled right wrist from a surgery he recommended and performed on a wrist injury that would have likely healed itself. Maybe he is a great doctor, but nearly every day of my life I consciously regret ever meeting him, and ever deferring my better judgement to him. If you'r reading this Varun, maybe you are god's gift to orthopedic surgery, maybe you have done miracle work, but you have messed up, and you have hurt people. You need to know that.

Great doctor
Thanks to this doctor I am walking again. He put together my knee cap and was very careful with physical therapy progress. I am very thankful. When another doctors saw the complexity of my injury and I only had one surgery to fix it.

Good surgeon
I’ve gone to Dr. Gajendran twice with good success. He appears to be a very competent surgeon. I can see how he could appear brusk because he’s a bit shy (and possibly slightly introverted?) but he’s a very kind man who is happy to talk about what he knows - orthopedic surgery.

Uninformed and ineffective. Dr. Gajendran told me that physical therapy would not help my condition. NOT True. Found and used a number of exercises online from physical therapists that in fact has relieved pain and made my hand mobile. When I asked for the dosage of a supplement that the Doctor said would help my condition he snidely said: "I don't know (the dosage) look if up online." I think he is the only hand specialist for SF Kaiser. Fortunately, one can request an appointment with other hand specialists in the bay area at Kaiser.
