Great doctor
I was one of Dr. Barnick's first patients. He has always seen us within 5 minutes of our appointment. But he is retiring and not taking new patients.

One of those Drs who is difficult to find.
It is unfortunate that he is sliding into retirement. What you need in a doctor is knowledge, experience, and care. He has them all. This is not a beauty contest that you can rate doctors based on how pleasant they are and how much time they spend with you doing nothing. I will be looking for a new doctor to replace him, spent 4 hours already searching doctors in the region that meet my criteria, they are all retired. He will be missed....

Twenty four years ago I needed to change internists because the one I had was subsumed by a larger practice. I asked a Radiologist doctor friend to tell me the name of the internist other doctors used. In other words, I wanted the name of the doctors doctor. He didn’t hesitate when he recommended Dr. Vaughn Barnick and for these past twenty four years, I have been elated with his his attention to my health and well-being. I have such superb confidence in his knowledge and skills that I make sure he knows when I am in contact with any other medical professional. I have recommended Dr. Barnick to several friend and family members over the years and they have all been delighted with the care they have received from him. I highly recommend Dr. Vaughn Barnick

I've been a patient of Dr. Barnick for over ten years. He is as good as they get -- always very thorough in his exams, asks a million questions, and leaves no stone unturned. His nurse Carmen is also outstanding -- more than once went the extra mile for me when the insurance company was incompetent. Their overall practice is EXTREMELEY well run -- prescripts are sent in electronically while you are still in the exam room.

Not sure I would use a Dr that releases a patient from their care because they voice a concern over waiting 5+ hours for a return phone call when they are sick and then to NOT approve refills on medications that are required and necessary and instead forcing the patient to wean themselves off of all of their medications until they are able to get in to see a new Dr. I'm sorry but that's just wrong! So glad that I am not a patient of Dr. Barnick's.

There is ZERO chance I would recommend him to my worst enemy. I write in hopes of preventing a family going through what we have been through. My in-laws moved in with us in 2015. I chose Dr. Barnick & his practice based on the info that was available then. I have come to DEEPLY regret my decision. He was condescending and rude both to me and to my in-laws, his patients. Vaughn Barnick sees patients to line his pockets, not to treat human beings. His patient care is unprofessional & disturbing.

dr. barnick was moms dr for years. she stopped seeing him in her 80s as he was dispensing oxycotin, hydrocodone & ativan for pain while disregarding her dependency. On oxycotin she hallucinated & was paranoid. we found another internist who weened her off over a 4 month period. for years our family mistrusted dr. barnick tho mom adored him. once weened she was angry to realize dr. barnick's negligence, irresponsibility & his primary goal to corporate climb.

Dr Barnick found my husband's Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm during a routine yearly physical examination. Needless to say this was monumental and words can not say what we feel for Dr. Barnick. He is a true blessing and we are beyond grateful to have such a fine physician.

He has been our primary care doctor for over 15 years. We like and trust him. If he can't fix what is wrong with us he refers us to someone who can. I lost the ability to walk a few years ago due to a sudden onset of an autoimmune disease - Sarcoidosis. He and his staff worked with me and w/other doctors got me walking again. Prognoses looks good. Years ago, Dr. Barnick convinced my father's surgeon to operate despite the surgeon's reluctance. He had 10 more good years.

He is arrogant, interrupts you while you are talking, short patient and forgetful. Will not get paper work done for medical needs of patients. Have to call his office all the time to get things done for patient. He is OCD with his over starched coats. I want to get rid of him so bad but needed a doctor for my family at the moment. Yes I want to transfer soon after finding a doctor soon.
