Dr. Vaun Dejong, DO

Dr. Dejong helped me deliver a successful VBAC when I was told by other Drs I had about a 20% chance of a vbac. Although I ended up delivering at 36 weeks, he was confident in his care and my labor progressed like a textbook with no NICU time. Healthy baby was all I wanted - but I’ll forever be thankful for him allowing me to attempt TOLAC when so many Drs seem unsupportive of VBACs.

Dr. Dejong saved me from my ectopic pregnancy that literally almost took my life. By the time I got to the hospital, things were not looking good and he was very straightforward with my family, letting them know that he couldn’t make any promises about if I would come out of surgery. If he had hesitated with the diagnosis, I wouldn’t have made it. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Dejong and the entire Methodist staff who were on call that night.

My first experience with Dr. Dejong was a very positive one. He was very knowledgeable and explained things very effectively. I actually had a condition that my previous provider failed to identify. She never interpreted, or just never documented the results of an ultrasound I'd had into an actual diagnosis. I was told that everything was normal, when in fact it was not. My physical exam and PAP were completely painless. He talks to his patients when they're dressed, I appreciated that.

I had read some of the reviews and thought great, I hope he's not a jerk. Well he wasn't and I was very happy with my appointment. He was very friendly, gentle, funny and explained everything he was doing and why. The girls were friendly and very informative. Dr. Dejong made this visit a much better experience, yes I would recommend him.

My personal favorite out of all 3 Drs. I'm a high risk pregnancy and I feel confident putting the life of my children in his hands! At the end of my last pregnancy(2014) My husband and I requested to have him deliver our daughter and we are so thankful we did, he saved our daughters life! I saw a different OB in 2015 since we moved away, didn't receive proper care and miscarried. I'm currently due again in 1 week, we've been driving an hour for appts and he will be delivering our son as well!

Asked me more questions about my husband's job than questions about my symptoms and pain. Apparently his son is college aged and had interest in my husband's field. Recommended a treatment therapy that would put me into menopause to determine whether or not I had endometriosis. I was 29 at the time, newlywed, and have plans to start a family this year. I'm so glad I went with my heart and never went back to see him. The nurse practitioner and staff are rude with no response or follow up.
