Great doctor...horrible staff
I love Dr. Nadkarni. I have been seeing her since my emergency operation in 2018 and she is a very caring and loving physician.I will terminate my association with her, however, because I have been so rudely dealt with by her office. I called today to dispute a bill and her clerk cancelled my appointment. If you are looking for an endocrinologist you can't find a better one. If you are looking for an enjoyable experience, go elsewhere!

My Advice for improvement
My visits and telehealth visits were not the main issues. Dr Nadkarni would be well advised to monitor the folks manning the phones. I am leaving this office and looking for a better managed system. Vigilant care and monitoring such conditions as thyroid disease and diabetes is essential. When I call and ask for an order to have levels checked— very simple request-I needed to get an order from the Doc-and could not do that until I had an appointment. And that was 3 months out to have a phone conversation. II went a step further and asked to have the Dr look at my yearly physical numbers, sure that I’d hear back-that didn’t happen. now, I just got a call that appointment needed to be rescheduled- trying to explain the insanity of what I had gone thru with no results. The gal just said have a nice day and hung up on me. I’m out…..looking for better office communication systems. Dr Nadkarni is knowledgeable and insightful-but needs to vet out her staff and make some changes.

The worse! Hard to get emergency appts after being sick and rescheduling . Dr only gives you 30 days medicine. Waits too long to read bloodwork and adjust medicine months later which is probably not correct . Explain how tired I am and she says it’s menopause. Had thyroid cancer and my thyroid was removed seen her twice in the beginning . Phone appt is like reading a script. Office staff is so rude in New Lenox office. Dr still the worse ever !

The Dr. wasn't the problem it is her biller Gerri. After talking with my insurance that showed the Dr as part of my group. They billed under Northeast Endocrinology Consultants Inc., without any mention of the Dr that I was seeing. At this point it doesn't matter to me that I really liked the Dr. I will never see her again or any one in the group. If your staff is rude and starts yelling at the patients they need to reconsider who they are hiring.

Been with this doctor for over 8 years. Her staff has been rude through out. I have finally found an Endocrinologist with compassion that shows she truely cares about her patients. Her nurses tend to blame the patient for the lack of their miscommunications as I AM STILL WAITING FOR MED APPROVAL. Nurse says they never received it and that it was my fault for not telling them my insurance changed. UH NO!! I left a message with your incompetent staff twice. Thanks!
