My husband just had a quadruple bypass. We were cursed to get Dr. Achanta as our internal medicine discharging physician. Pre-discharge, she came by every day and added absolutely no value to our treatment (but sure she will charm a boatload for that to our insurance company). She just asked if we were ok, then left; never gave us any pertinent information on labs, other tests, etc.. On discharge day, we were cleared by all specialists to leave by 3pm. She didn't get around to discharging us until 8:30pm. by then, CVS was closed. No pain meds for my husband who had a bad night. Next day, several important meds couldn't be filled by the pharmacy. Why? Insurance wouldn't cover, some weren't available. Pharmacy tried to call her - never responded. We called twice only to get yelled at and told to wait it out. If you get this lady in the hospital, ask for a replacement. She has no sense of urgency.

Dr. Achanta spends a lot of time with me which I appreciate. I have been seeing her for the past few years. She is very smart and very caring. She follows up on every detail including periodic lab works. She is a great doctor and I love the staff. I also like the ease of getting an appointment. The staff work me in to same day appointments or at the most 24 business hours. I definitely recommend her.

Very good, caring and compassionate doctor. I was seen on time, minimal waiting. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I have always been able to get an appointment either on the same day or at the most the day after. I recommended this doctor to my entire family and friends and they all had positive experience. Definitely recommend her.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME making an appointment to see Dr. Achanta. Was a patient for several years. Will never make another appointment to see her. Appointments are useless... this office consistently runs way behind. You can expect to waste 1-2 hours even with an appointment. The staff is rude, crude and extremely unprofessional. Dr. Achanta not only wastes your time but she also wastes your money. Almost every other visit she'll require a lab test for this and that.

I've not personally been treated by Dr. Achanta; however my husband has been treated by her since March of this year. He is a diabetic renal patient who was admitted to West Houston Medical Center ER for high blood glucose and high blood pressure, which resulted in him having a wave of Ischemic Stroke. Since 3/17/18 until present, he's been treated by Dr. Achanta, but his blood pressure and blood glucose are still net stabilized.

I had bad experience with doctor and specially with their staff. When I try to move out for another doctor they were not ready to share my reports. I have to go multiple times to get my own reports

The doctor is very efficient and I was diagnosed what I have correctly and the right medications are prescribed. I felt well right away. She has been my doctor and my whole family sees her. I went to several different doctors prior to seeing her, but my problem was not diagnosed correctly. I strongly recommend her.

Please take your time and find another provider. I have had nothing but bad luck from scripts not being called in to lost laboratory results. Dr. Achanta is either too busy or doesn't care about the care of her patients. Does not spend enough time and when she tells you something she forgets that she told it to you or just doesn't do what she says. Take my word not worth it and will still charge your provider for doing nothing. I am in the process of making complains to CMS.

The doctor kept answering the phone while doing my pap smear exam, so unprofessional. I had very bad experience with the receptionist. They submitted the wrong code to Quest Diagnostic so that I got 3 bills from them. I called in to ask for a re submission, but few weeks later I still receiving the same bill with no corrections. I would never recommend this doctor to any of my friend.

I had a bad experience with the receptionist/nurse who took my blood pressure. The first reading she reported was 136/85 and so I requested the doctor for a second reading. This time I carefully looked at the monitor after the test was complete and the display showed 124/85 however the nurse reported to the doctor a higher number which the doctor said was in the 130's and I asked the receptionist and she maintains it was more than 130. So I cannot trust this practice anymore.
