Dr. Venkata Kottapalli, MD

I am extremely cautious about medical procedures and usually seek experts at Cleveland Clinic or OSU for anything that worries me. Dr. K blows them out of the water. His skill, experience, and talent is unmatched and myself and three other family members have had amazing experiences with him and his nursing and anesthesia team. We are so lucky to have him local, but I would drive hours for him to do our procedures if I had to. Trustworthy, down to earth, skilled, couldn't be more pleasant and at the top of his game. Wish I had a Dr. K in every medical specialty. We recommend him to everyone. I've seen some of the best 'rock star' expert docs in the most renown big city facilities in the state and Dr. K and his team surpass them all. He is that good. He is very talented and experienced, and has the skill and knowledge to think outside the box if need be. He really cares about each patient and really wants to do everything he can to help each one. Hope he never retires!

I just had my 3rd colonoscopy with Dr. Kottapalli, he is super nice! I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I love his new location in Lima, easy in and out. While entering from the parking lot I saw Dr. Kottapolli taking a lady, in a wheelchair ,out to her car, he’s hands on. He probably won’t remember the first time I went to Lima for consultation at the hospital, and had a hard time finding my way out of the parking lot, so he walked me out of the building and showed me how to get back to the Main Street. I live in Findlay, so didn’t know my way around Lima. I thought that was so nice of him to take time to give me directions. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They are all so organized and had me in and out so quickly, although living in Findlay I would always go back to them. My daughter, Terri Kuntz, is the one that referred Dr. Kottapolli to me.

Talked to a nurse practitioner at his facility. Been dealing with a fissure for at least six weeks. I was told he would take care of the fissure and and skin tags that were there, I went in for my procedure of which consisted of only a colonoscopy after the fact. After the procedure and I woke up. He told my wife and I that they do not take care of fissures there. I will not go back to his facility again and be lied to.

Courteous staff, answered my questions, no issues from the procedure. Convenient location. I wasn't too keen about the music, but this is an impossible situation to resolve and was a very minor irritant to me.

Saw the NP. She had made up her mind on treatment before seeing me. She did not listen to my concerns or issues test results from 2 years ago was all she need. Never did a physical exam. Wrote me a script for a medicine I have had a bad reaction to, when I called the office,before lunch, I never got a call back. If you are looking for someone to just write you a prescription without any type of diagnosis or care, she will push the drugs. If you want answer go to someone that cares about patients.

Dr K is Awsome Has good bedside manners will sit and lisin to you and any concerns you may have...Hes the BEST :)

I don't know about his scheduling but you should know that he truly cares especially for those that can't speak for themselves. My mother hadn't eaten for 9 days! Everyone waiting for her to pass. Upon seeing her he was on his way home but yet immediately got her care. stayed and helped with my elderly mother for 2 1/2 hours needing a feeding tube in her stomach after suffering a stroke. He believed in her and her ability. No one else cared. No one else took the time. He's a specialist that took the time that was needed to give her a fighting chance. As the son of a patient I will apologize for him and his schedule but Dr. K is the best & most caring GI doc if you need help. My family highly recommends him. Wish we can give more stars !

This Dr schedules so many patients for the same day he is unable to give them the individual care they need and should expect.

As a nurse, he would be my first choice to treat any GI concerns

I would highly recommend. My family member was allowed to observe procedure which make me feel very comfortable and at ease.

Very professional, caring, respectful of the patient. Gentle, thorough, and easy to communicate with.
