SHAME ON YOU! FOLLOW UP FROM ER. (NEVER PROVIDED)
My 77 year young mom, was hospitalized at Southern Hills Hospital. The actual facilities, and the team of medical staff was nothing short of AMAZING. I believed in my heart to be, he was an excellent Dr! His bedside manner was great, unfortunately that fell very hard, very fast. After she was released it was requested to follow up with specific doctors. She tried multiple time's to reach them. NO LUCK. I tried to reach them, NOTHING! As someone who practices medicine in everyday for work. I AM EXTREMELY EMBARRASSED FOR THEM. I understand you employ staff members that might not be to the necessary standards...but when DO YOU AS A DOCTOR, DECIDE TO MAKE IT RIGHT? OWN UP TO THE MISTAKES...AND TRY AND IMPROVE IT. Dr. Veerappan you work for one of the best hospitals I have dealt with, as the patient. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ACTIONS NOT TO DESTROY YOUR REPUTATION..OR DISRUPT THE INTEGRITY OF THE HOSPITAL FOR WHICH YOU REPRESENT. NOT A GOOD LOOK. I PRAY this brings some light to you.

Dr. V is amazing…….but his staff.
Dr. V is an amazing neurologist, but his staff is ruining his practice. He treated me several times prior to the current office practice. Weeks have gone by and staff, who no longer answer the phone, instruct the person to leave a message for an appointment. My son never received a return call. Since I recommended Dr. V to my son and his primary sent a referral, I tried to contact the office manager. No return calls. As a retired nurse and administrator over performance improvement and service excellence, it’s time Dr. V examine his office staff’s shameful performance. They are the reason for such low scores.

Horrible Office Staff
I can never get a return phone call from anyone in the office. I have forwarded my FMLA paperwork over on several occasions without any remedy. Getting someone in the office to assist you is like trying to pull teeth and when you finally get them on the phone they display the nastiest attitudes. Patients are already dealing with health issues and the last thing they need is to be met with the feeling as if they are a bother to the office; when it is the patients money that keeps the office wheels rolling. There needs to be some customer service and perhaps ethics training amongst the staff.

Dr Veerappan did an in-office assessment and determined my husband had Parkinsons. The DatScan ($11K) showed his hand-shaking was not caused by Parkinsons. 2nd Opinion Neurologist did another assessment and reviewed the findings of Dr V's office visit and said husband did NOT have Parkinson's AND he would not have referred husband for this expensive DatScan. In addition, Dr. V did not ask for more tests to determine the cause of the tremors (since we met our deductible it would not have cost much OOP. The 2nd Opinion Dr did and we will get to the bottom of all this.

The absolute worst office staff ever!!!! Left repeated voicemails and emails with medical assistant and several with the office manager!!!! THEY DO NOT CALL BACK OR EMAIL BACK. So unprofessional! Maybe they do not want patients and just figure completely ignoring is the best option for them. How they stay in business is beyond me!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. V's since 2011. He is not only thorough but he actually cares and wants you to feel better. He still does hospital rounds and attends conferences for continuing education. He also trains residents and students over at Southern Hills Hospital. He's an excellent doctor! The staff used to be challenging before he came to the new office next to Southern Hills Hospital and believe me, I left him for four years because of it but I came back because in Las Vegas, you will not find anyone better.

What a phenomenal doctor! I couldn't be happier having found Dr. Veerappan. He is extremely knowledge and very helpful! We had some concerns with my mom's EEG coming back abnormal and he spent over an hour with us, going over any question or concern we had. He was super thorough, and I feel that he cared about every single one of our concerns. He was also very funny! I cannot express how grateful I am to have found him!! His staff was super friendly and willing to help! All together we had an amazing experience and will highly recommend this doctor to anyone in need of an amazing neurologist!

Can't get thru to speak to office manager. I left 6 messages so that I could be cleared for surgery. Never got a call back! Surgery was cancelled due to the incompetence of the office staff. Everything now goes thru the nurse and the doctor only see you for a minute.

I've been coming to this office for 3 yrs. Never have they been on time or even less than an hour late. As I sit here now I have been told 4 times that my appointment was not at the time I had put in my calendar. Everytime I am here there is at least 2 people who are being told that their appointments are for another time or they didnt have one. Also I have NEVER seen the doctor only the PA ,Who I do like but still my insurance is charged for seeing the dr. I would never send a friend here !

PHYSICIAN = 5 STARS, STAFF = 0 STARS. I've reviewed the other reviews on this site and totally agree that the doctor himself is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and really knows his specialty. He treated my father for seizures and neuropathy for about 8 years and we have no complaints, except for the office staff. Getting a real person on the phone is almost impossible and they could offer a smile once in a while if they expect patients to have patience!

I gave this doctor one star because I couldn't give it zero stars, I think the doctor knows his stuff but his office is run so badly and it has to come from the top. I had never experienced such outright rudeness and incompetency before. It is very hard to get someone to answer the phone and they outright lied to me when they called to remind about the appointment, I told them I wanted to see the doctor, and even waited four months to get the appointment, just to find that after taking my v

I absolutely love Dr. V. His staff is incompetent. My PCP recommended him, said he's the best in NV, and if he can't figure out a diagnosis, no one can. He was my 3rd neuro in 6mos, and he ordered more tests and treatments, and spent FAR more time with me than any other. I'm undiagnosable, but that doesn't stop him from still trying. His office staff.. IF you get through on the phones, you're on hold forever or sent to vm they don't return. And they don't send referrals or ins. auth until 3 mos
