My initial interaction with Dr. Rochford was over a year ago when I brought my then 16 and 13 yo daughter and son respectively in for a physical. Everything went well and my kids responded well to her. Her bedside manner was impeccable and very welcoming. Fast forward to this tuesday July 2023. My daughter and I interaction was downhill from the minute Dr R entered the room. My daughter, now 17 has been struggling with personal issues. I wanted my daughter to speak with Dr Rochford because not only is she her pediatrician, she’s a black woman. I thought she was someone that my daughter could relate and open up to. Dr. Rothford entered the room and greeted us in words only but her body language was not welcoming at all. She had a mask on but I can tell that she did not smile and she was not welcoming in the least. I discussed my concerns and she reminded me several times that I was supposed to return 3-4 weeks after our initial appointment. I advised her that it was my fault that I had not followed up with her but things have changed and we needed assistance now. She belabored the point about me not following up and told me that if I was not happy with the way she practices medicine then I was more than welcome to find another physician. This whole negative experience took place in front of my daughter who is dealing with deep issues. I came to this doctor because she is a black female that I felt my daughter would trust and open up to. I left there feeling as if I failed my daughter by entrusting her with this doctor. She reminded me of why I went into medicine. I would never make a child/adolescent who is already vulnerable not feel heard or cared about. I felt like she treated me badly because of my failure to follow up which I take 100% accountability for. I left there feeling as if I was 16 years old again hearing the news that my brother was dead by the doctor in the emergency department. He lacked sympathy and empathy with his delivery and treatment of my family. This news was more traumatic but the feeling it left in me was the same as that felt with my and my daughters visit with Dr. Rochford. This experience as well as that experienced with Dr Rochford was the very reason I went into medicine and became a doctor. As a physician, I would never treat anyone the way we were treated. I felt that if Dr. Rothford was upset about me not following up, it was a conversation that could have existed separately and not in front of my daughter. My daughter was not as upset from this as I was but she told me that she didn’t want to go back to her.

Dr Rochford has been seeing my boys for two and a half years and I really like her. She is amazing with my 11 and 13 year old boys and she talks to them about what is happening with their health, which they both love. I like it that she incorporates the kids into their care plans to ensure that they will be compliant. She is knowledgeable and is willing to refer to a specialist if she thinks a child needs it. Dr Rochford is a great pediatrician!!

I love Dr. Rochford and her staff! She was so kind and knowledgeable, and both her and her staff were extremely patient with me and my daughter! I always get so nervous when it's time for the next round of vaccines for my little one, but everyone at Dr. Rochford's office was so reassuring and sweet with my baby girl. It was my first appointment with her, and we are definitely going to be keeping her as our pediatrician! I absolutely recommend her!!

Dr. Rochford has been my son's pediatrician since he was born. She is very knowledgeable and has a terrific "bedside manner." I would recommend her to any parents looking for a pediatrician.

She is a rockstar peditrician! She works very well with my special needs son and has worked hard to get him the prescriptions he needs for therapy. I am always amazed at her love for what she does. Pediatricians like this are near impossible to find!

Great experiences with Dr. Rochford and her entire staff, who is extremely friendly and patient. They take their time with my son and answer every question. Extremely professional and meticulous, my phone calls are always returned same day and visits are followed up. I feel that this team truly puts the patient first.

I just recently got out of the military and have a 6 year old and almost 1 year old. Being used to how the military works with medical treatment had me worried because thats all I knew as well as all my family knew. My husband actually found her and decided to try for our baby. Long story short, we love her! She is very very knowledgeable! Anything that we have brought to her attention or inquired about she has thoroughly explained what it is, what it could be, what to do to correct it.

Dr Rochford is a phenomenal Pediatrician. I was instantly captivated by how she practiced since our first visit with her, when she asked my daughter how she was feeling instead of asking the parent. Dr Rochford has a great personality, she's very thorough and always explains reasoning behind her thinking and process. I live an hour away from her office, but refuse to switch to a pediatrician closer because I love the care she gives to my children! Highly recommend !
