Dr. Vernon Carriere, MD

I’ve been very pleased with both my visits to Dr. Carriere. My first problem is much better. Currently, he changed my medicine on the second problems. I’m hopeful that problem will be better also.

He is a great Physician

If you're expecting consistent thoroughness for your care, it's not here. I've been to this office multiple times with different issues going on for 2 years. It typically took me calling back and scheduling to request more answers and more tests. The exams and questions were lackluster and took my own research to consider options. Upon receiving a result from a test indicative of an issue, not only did I not receive any details on what the test indicated, but I wasn't explained the treatment plan nor provided any heads up to side effects from medications. He and his nurse are easy to dismiss you if you have questions about your own care. The KLARA app is also a huge headache with communication. Hope you have good insurance because they charge you for the smallest inconvenience of their time - otherwise they're unlikely to answer without you insisting.

Dr. Carriere is simply the best gastroenterologist in New Orleans.

Colonoscopy great , my experience was excellent.

Dr Carriere was great. My only issue is that I spent 20 minutes giving information on the phone when setting up the appointment to then have to give the same information on multiple forms when I arrived at the appointment.

Dr. Carriers was very insightful and thorough with explaining a procedure! He is very caring and great bedside manners! Would highly recommend! And the staff absolutely amazing!

The visit was good,no longer wait .The Dr was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Dr Carriere has a great bedside manner. He didn’t rush & explained everything thoroughly. It’s comforting knowing he will be performing my procedures.

I called to set an appointment with my doctor but he had no availability. The receptionist recommended Dr Carriere who could see me the next day. I felt rushed while I was in my appointment and he barely looked me in the eye. He kept reading the computer and then as i talked he made notes. Nice but not very personable.

Dr. Carriere was very patient and kind and knowledgeable. He explained what was wrong and the procedure that needs to be done. He listens to your concerns and ask you if you have any questions for him. He spends time with you and takes his time talking with you. I would and did already highly recommend this doctor. My friend now goes to him as well and loves him too. This is my second time going to him and I feel I have a Gastroenterologist now for life. He is the best!!

I was very impressed with my first visit with Dr. Carriere to discuss and schedule my colonoscopy. The office team were friendly and professional. Dr. Carriere was very personable and attentive and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend Dr. Carriere's practice to others.

Dr. Carriere has always been a very caring, knowledgeable and professional doctor for over 20 years. Office staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in Paperwork was a bit redundant.
