Not impressed
I took my 4 year old to Asante to be seen for GI concerns. My son has a bowel disease he was born with and with this disease he almost died as a newborn. We have good days and bad days with his condition, but I don't rush him to the doctor or emergency room. Im pretty knowledgeable about his health. I took him to the ER for answers fast, given I know how the day gets wasted waiting for doctors out of town to call me to go get x ray and tests done when I know i can get it at the ER, and get the results. Dr. Harris questioned my concerns, and treated me like I was incompetent. Her bedside manner with my son was truly nauseating, disciplining him for just moving around in the gurney, or pressing a button on it making the head go up. She was rude, treated me and my son poorly, and to top off our experience she sent us with information on his bowel disease on what it is and how it's diagnosed. Like thanks, I don't already know what struggles my son goes through. Very little compassion.

Poor, Negligent Care
Her poor assessment and treatment of my husband last year for Covid and complications with another disease could have killed him. It was his 3rd visit to Asante ER that week and I was monitoring his heart rate, O2, and temp. She discharged him after being there barely 2 hours without having or knowing the results of his blood tests which were resulted after midnite. His hemoglobin had dropped to being critically low that nite. She said steroids were too late or could harm him when I asked if he could receive some. I took him to Providence ER the next day and they gave him a steroid infusion right away and knew he needed a transfusion. He had to be admitted to Asante that nite and one of his primary diagnoses was severe sepsis and he had to be in the hospital a week and had a Transfusion and plasma phoresis the next day.

Dr. Harris needs to take a course in compassionate listening! I brought a loved one into the ER and was glad I was there to advocate for my loved one. Dr. Harris barely made eye contact with my loved one (the patient) and addressed me. Her demeanor was overall condescending and numerous times questioned why we had come to get help in the ER. She even questioned why my loved one’s primary care physician sent us here for help. She continued to say there was “nothing to do to help us” and encouraged us to leave and drive four hours to a larger metropolitan area where “maybe” somebody could help us. She completely disregarded my loved ones symptoms (high blood pressure, headache, dizziness) and didn’t do a review of systems. There was nothing reassuring about her. The nurses and all the other staff members were awesome.
